(I work with charities that dig wells and provide water purification in africa to prevent blindness in children.) But most people live long lives with dirty water. im sorry these people are stupid, my dad pays 39% income income tax and after all his taxes are paid it comes to around 50% of he makes he pays taxes for. oh and hes divorced so he has to pay for TWO households. so he makes 25% of the money he makes. he worked FULL time through college to pay for it and have a better life and he isnt complaing even though he only keeps 25 cents out of every dollar he makes.. all these people do is complain.

@divineblobn8 no, but that they hoard so much money from corporations or scams that whatever taxes they pay usually either goes back to the corporation they own/are connected to, or has so little impact on their ridiculous avarice, you might as well compare it to contributing a single penny to a charity. and then perhaps stealing a few quarters afterwards, knowing how some rich assholes act.

@Cre8tvMG common sense again: its up to the 12 years college guy and the guy requiring his service that make up his reward. would suggest though to everyone to study more about the human body on a personal experience level first before aquiring any help from outside recources. (for example though various kinds of meditation which in this case means : exploring your own body through careful observation). it might suprise you what there is to find in this endevour.

@Cre8tvMG btw, the government consist of people in the end. the people elected to different branch of government gets sponsored mostly by corporations. corps are comprised of working people. among them their leading ones. with common sense the leading ones make the sponsoring decisions. this means they have a reason for it. reason of gain. the wealth comes from raping the earth. the action of raping the earth is making the planet poor of recources meaning its affecting everyone (clean water ;)

Before you complain about strip mines and coal, take a look at what our local volcanos do. (Mt. St Helens, for example.) And the earth just comes right back and grows a whole forest in the wake of total devastation. You just worry because your tiny lifespan is so short, but for the planet, fixing a volcanic explosion is a minor mishap that is repaired in the blink of an eye.

@crustytowel And sure, no one NEEDS billions. You don' t NEED a car or clean water or even constitutional freedoms. But I wouldn't take yours away simply because most of the world's population doesn't have them. Charity is performed mainly by people who have more than they need. The 1% provide jobs and wealth for millions, and get a percentage for doing it. What's NOT fair is removing the rewards for excellence and rewarding lazy whiners who won't work for a better life for anyone.

@Woodyh13 There are literally billions of people who live without clean water, by our standards. A small percentage get diseases. (I work with charities that dig wells and provide water purification in africa to prevent blindness in children.) But most people live long lives with dirty water. Our bodies are resilient, or the race would have died out millennia ago.
