My previous comments are based on the assumption that the Sombrero's ring diameter is around 60,000 LY. After looking around on the web a bit more, it seems the diameter could actually be around 120,000 LY, in which case it would be about the same size as Hoag's ring, and there would be no reason for me to suppose its core is antimatter. Instead, the optimal place to look for antimatter would, I'd suppose, be halfway between the ring and the core.
For what it's worth, 10^21 meters is equal to the size of a proton (10^-15 meters) multipled by the ratio of electromagnetic force to gravity force (10^36) existing between two protons. The idea is holographic in nature, relating the ratio of diameters of objects (that might be described as force-generated objects) inversely to the strengths of the reponsible forces. It's analogous to saying that doubling of the energy of a probe particle allows it to probe structures half the size as before.
I have a simple quantum gravity idea, defining a graviton by incorporating a wave with a wavelength of around 10^21 meters (100,000 L-Y) as a correction to Newton's 1/r^2-proportional factor. I've suggested it explains the ring diameter as a cosine maxima (cos[2pi]=+1) of some ring galaxies. The idea assumed the graviton is always emitted in full positive phase (cos[0]=+1). If you replace this idea with the negative cosine for a negative mass, you get the maxima at half-distance (-cos[pi]=+1)
I'll take back the part about it being a "cold" type of anti-particle star. Sorry about that. I still would suggest it could be an anti-particle star, seems it would have to be something exotic like that asit appears it's much larger and brighter than a regular non-exotic matter star can be.

@Carcass1701 Actually we see it "now" because there is no other way to see it other than by its EM radiation - and relativity says that's as fast as possible, so any such speculations are intrinsically meaningless as there is no way to verify them. The farther away things are, the more meaningless is the concept of "now" in the sense we use for terrestrial objects.
at current speed of our rocket, it will take 14,000 billion years to get there. that is 14 trillion years to get there. by the time earth and our sun's life has ended (in 5 billion years) you would have only travelled 0.04% of the journey. i think it is very very very far away
too bad it won't be reached for a loooooong time.
