  • This version seems to be a later recording,as I have heard a faster version that he recorded ealier in his career

  • what a superb voice,

  • Anita Kerr was a VERY talented arranger, but the background vocal on this song (and a few others by Jim) was Winnifred Breast, who died last year!

  • Thank you for posting this song..it's great song...love Jim reeves voice and music....and nice video..great job!!!!

  • you can tell Jim is so loved still by so many because the views are high on his videos and the dislikes are very low/few. How many artists has those statistics?

  • I just love Jim Reeves music. It is honestly like no other. Who can sing damned near everything flawless? I don't know of many I can tell you that. When I listen to Jim's material I just close my eyes and smile and I feel such a presence flow over me. It is such therapy for my soul.

  • It has been said the stars are the reminders, a personal forget me not that have been posted by the angles in the heavens for all to see..Take care ADonovan43

  • If only dancing had stayed like this

  • JIM AND MARY TOGETHER A LOVELY VIDEO

  • Lovable and romantic.

  • We had all his vinyl LPs when I was a kid. I couldn't wait to start buying them on cd when cd's came out in the late eighties. But in listening to the cds I found there was no improvement in the sound quality of the vocals.

Then I figured out why...there was nothing to improve upon. Jim's voice was already perfect.

    God rest his soul.

  • @fek2000 I first heard Jim Reeves on 8 track cartridge - remember them? Then I dwitched to vinyly, searching everywhere for imports and rare issues then, like you, I started stated all over again for cd re-issues; every song brings back happy memories of the seventies.

  • Thank you and thank Mary reeves

  • That wasn't Anita Kerr, that was Winnifred Breast, who also sang on 'When You Are Gone' and a few more, she died last year, great voice also!

Superb recording all round, should have been released as a single after 'I Won't Forget You',the B-side could have been 'Memories Are Made Of This'.

  • wonderful song, really feels like in haven

  • Lovely lyrics....

    Haunting melody-

    But the magic lies in

    THE VOICE

  • I agree there has been no one better

  • Thanks for a very nice video - we Jim fans, I believe, really appreciate the effort you've made for us - I especially liked the Jim/Dean Manuel & Jim/Mary pics.

I think it's really nice to know that Jim's not forgotten.

    Best wishes, Les.

How did Toulouse-Lautrec get in here!

  • Far superior to his 50s version. He had not really become the "Jim Reeves" then we all accept and know now and identify with.

  • Another lovely song from Jim Reeves as usual, & love the pictures too, especially the one with his wife Mary.Thankyou Ian for posting this lovey, lovely song. - Geena.

  • You're very welcome Geena; We owe Mary Reeves so much for keeping Jim's music alive after his death, the least I/we can do is to include her memory alive as well.
