@rockhardliver for about a year now Qantas has been providing Direct Flights to Sydney and Melbourne from Wellington. They don't do domestic service in NZ anymore - just the international. Our only two carriers for the national trunk routes are the national carried (AIR NZ) and Jetstar.

Qantas normally flies the Tasman with aircraft from the airline they set up in NZ called Jetconnect. Their rego starts with ZK-.
Wow, you blokes can get close in Wellington. In Sydney you are K's back now days.
If you had the Sydney traffic and the Wellington views, it would be heaven!
By the way, that's not a JetConnect aircraft, its Qantas mainline, I wonder why it was flying the Tasman route?
