Would you mind telling me what you have your compressor set on? I have the Super Comp as well, but I am having a tough time with the three controls? Yours sounds good. Thanks
@tinkers32 Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I needed to check my Super Comp settings. Mine is set at -- Attack: 12 o'clock, Output 9 o'clock, Sensitivity: 9 o'clock. These are my settings for single coil p/u guitars. When I switch to playing a humbucker guitar (Les Paul) I move the Sensitivity down to 3 o'clock
Does any one know if these amps are tube amps? I was just confused and I cannot find any other infomation on them besides that they were replaced by the MG model. I do know that the MG series are not tube amps.
It does have tubes. But only for the Pre-amp section. I have to double check the specs, but I believe its the "power amp(?)" section of the amp that's solidstate.
I love this series of amps...not quite so sure why they discontinued them.
Thanks! It sounds like a simple tune, but it's really not! It takes a lot to nail the timing and feel like Freddy King and Stevie Ray...(not to say I even came close!) I'm still learning this one. I plan to post an update soon. Check back when you get a chance!
Thanks for the comment. Yes it is and American Vintage Series. I also have a 70's Reissue Strat that I actually prefer more. It has a fatter neck and bigger frets. It's easier for solos and bending strings.
Great job.
