GOD SO SAD HE DIED AND WHAT A WARM AND LOVELY VOICE, EVERY TIME I HEAR THIS SONG I HAVE TEARS SO AMAZING BEAUTIFUL HIS VOICE.RIP JOHN I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU. LINDSEY
Heb vorige week pas zijn muziek ontdekt en was meteen verkocht! Tragisch dat zo'n ras artiest er niet meer is, zijn liedjes zijn vitamienen voor het hart, he will be sadly missed !
correct and he has lived near Hawick, Scotland for the past 14 years and John Wright who was born in England owese much of his success to the recognition, support and encouragement he received while also living near Hawick. Seems a reasonable enough tag to me given these facts
Right, fair point. However it doesn't change the fact that he is an Irish folk singer and from knowing him personally I don't think he would be very amused at the fact his song is being tagged as Scottish folk. He lived in Ireland a lot longer than Scotland and his songwriting is largely influenced by being Irish. I think you should at least add Irish to the tags.
Well I also have John Wright singing 'Naked to the Eye' and in the interest of consistency I expect you want it tagged with 'American country' just because the songwriter happens to be Mary Chapin Carpenter. One of the guitarists on this track is from Liverpool, maybe I should have Birkenhead in my tags! Where does it end....
Kieran Halpin himself now sings a version very similar to this one, a song covered by John Wright is a sure mark of quality. Thank you so much John, what a star you were, what a star you are. Perfection.
I love Kieran Halpin, and I love this song. And I really like the version of the song by the John Wright Band. It's very different from Kieran's performing, but as lovely as the original one.
oh God missing him so much .....

Everybody has a right to his own opinion ofcourse.
So my opinion is that the version of Ilse de Lange (Live!) is the best I ever heared and will hear.
