  • wah !!!!

    i love u lah uncle..

    u promote our song..

    nice song!!

  • @wanb90 Thanks for subscribing.

  • this song is pure from indonesia! :)

  • This song is not originated in Indonesia at all. The language is Malay.

Another thing is, Indonesian is always claiming what isn't theirs.

  • Truthfully, when you sang 'kami budak belu bulajah', it's a bit erraneous. I mean, this song was mainly intended to be a group song, and 'kami' in Malay means 'We', whereas 'saya' meant 'I'. It would have more appropriate in your case is you sang 'Saya budak belu bulajah', but I understand if you respect the song's history and sang it otherwise.

But really, why all the controversy over a song? Songs are universal, quarreling is like people determining who should not have blood in their veins.

  • @COZYTW Yes, you are technically right, but I prefer to stick to "kami" even though there is only one of me. Thanks for your comments.

That's Malay song... :D It belongs to all Malay people (Melayu :D)

  • Melayu song.Listen carefully."the language" is in Melayu language. Not javanese, bugist, banjar, dayaks language.. We can find Melayu in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia.. They speaks same language, they eat same dishes, they have same cultures, they sing same song.So people out there, please watch out your mouth. If you are Javanese(Msia,S'pore,Indi,Thai,Brunei), you have no right to claim this is your song. Because Javanese language totally difference than this song (language)

  • @babyshreak Quite right. Let's just share our music.

  • @mynamefifi kamu orang bajingan. merendah tapi sama kayak tai... merdeka indonesiaaaaaaaaaaa....!!! jogjakarta bangkit.

  • His singing style is apt! Rasa Sedih !!

so for @EXSoldierrity janganlah kau nih mencemohkan nama negara orang yee

  • HAHAHAHA... PLAGIAT.........

  • sir you are amazing! I don't care who owns the song and like you said, music is to be shared. Bravo!

  • @clarencekuna I think whoever is singing it at the time owns the song!

  • that's my favorite song when i was in elementary school. Surely, people from Maluku (Indonesia) is very pleased to watch this video.

so, kalau ade persamaan tu sikit2 nak gadoh buat ape.. nenek moyang kite rilex je dulu..haha

  • but if i wrong i'm sorry because all of the rightness just from and for Allah, I'm just an ordinary human

oh if you want to take a look on our history about nusantara here i got the link from wikipedia

    for bahasa indonesia

  • i'm sorry sir i just copied it and of course i didn't speak like that without any reasons it's called sumpah palapa in my histories books and of course it's happened and prooved in the prasasti of majapahit there hehe

  • this is indonesia song, not malay,

    lol malay

  • this is not malay song, but this is east Indonesian song,,

  • Of course it's indonesian !!! this song doesnt even have west indonesian accent (where the malaysia is).. it's from east Indonesian, Malocas!

and I love the way you sing it :D

  • Lagu Rasa Sayang adalah lagu asli Maluku, salah satu provinsi negara kesatuan Indonesia.. Bukan lagu Malaysia, Singapura, maupun Brunei..

  • What does 641 stand for?

  • @IwishIwereJoe It means it was the 641st song I uploaded to YouTube.

  • wow....I am malaysian, very happy ( proudly) listen to this song!

    ia milik nusantara...

  • it's perfect malay language..i doubt that this is indonesian version,,anyway its good song..

  • it's perfect malay language..i doubt that this is indonesian version,

  • Raya Sayange! Very popular Indonesian Folk Song from Maluku Islands, Eastern Indonesia!

  • OMG I WISH YOU'D ADOPT ME OR SOMEIN HEHE :)

  • @bustednebs Thanks for subscribing.

  • Buah cempedak diluar pagar

    ambil galah tolong julukan

    kami budak baru belajar

    kalo salah tolong tunjukan

    ...hahahaaa.. TOP. Great Song !

  • @gtmanification , lol you're saying that Malaysia and Singapore are Indonesian war refugees? LOL!! That's the dumbest thing ever! You think you can create false stories about our history? Read a book, idiot!

  • It's very simple. Most of Singaporean, and mostly Malaysian are War refugees from Indonesia. They aren't willing to fight with their family to fight for freedom here. Since they're run away from Indonesia, of course they bring all their culture along to Malaysia and Singapore. Just because they live in Malaysia it doesn't mean Malaysia could claim the culture then. Malaysia can have the traitor but not the culture. The culture still belong to Indonesia. Face it ex brother!! We was brother!

  • dear mr raymond, just ignore the comments about which country owns the song coz indonesian always like to claim this song belongs to them and that song belongs to them while other countries like malaysia, singapore and brunei (which share almost the same language) only reply back when they start. its hard actually to say who owns what because we have no idea who actually create the song as its a very old song (as far as i know) and there's no evidence who create the song

  • @crazywildberry I really don't think it matters. Music is to be shared. Thanks for your comments.

  • @raymondcrooke

    @keraton45

I don't know why people are still arguing about this. I looked it up and found out that Malaysian government officially admitted that the folk song is Indonesian back in Nov 2007. The controversial has long been ended...

It was said that it was originated from Maluku, which is an archipelago in Indonesia. It probably doesn't matter for us, but I can understand why it does for Indonesians

But, who cares. It is a great song and all of us enjoy it!

    Btw, great singing!

  • new fan (or fans if plus with my mom :D ) love watching you singing and playing guitar.

  • but please for anything you want to do just think twice...

we have the original cd of rasa sayange and it had been ours since Netherlands was on our beloved Ibu Pertiwi...

so please don't mention that we are one...

THIS IS OUR SONG (INDONESIA TANAH AIR BETA)

  • sorry, can you mention it again...

i one hundred percent believe that rasa sayange came from ambon and doesn't from malay or you say nusantara???

the nusantara is actually just a fiction

we are in different language, different culture and different history although malaysia or singapore was partsof indonesia last time...

  • @a2h21 excuse me? when did malaysia and singapore join indonesia??? if u want to say the reason because of majapahit and sriwijaya, what about malacca once took over riau islands and half of sumatera timur except for acheh?? have malacca once said, oh, we once had riau islands and sumatera timur so malacca territory reach until there? nope. so stop trying to create a false history about malaysia, indonesia and singapore

  • buah cempedak di luar pagar, ambil galah tolong jolokkan, saya uncle baru belajar kalau salah tolong tunjukkan

  • its not malay, its from maluku...

  • pakcik :) sangat comel pakcik nyanyi lagu2 tradisional macam ni. saya banyak jugak tengok pakcik nyanyi. kenapa minat nyanyi lagu2 dari negara kami secara spesifik? :)

  • isn't it weird that a song about the feeling of love can generate so much animosity between two VERY closely related countries...why can;t we have less of the hate and more of the love???

  • wow! wirklich echt Genial: Oldies but goodies, eh? eine gut bleibende Qualität à la Mercedes Sosa di Argentina? Bravo, Bravíssimo - Viva la Cuba Libre!

印度尼西亚 très émouvant - Tahoe Goréng vs. Nazi Goréng - Peace be with ya!

  • Rasa Sayange is Maluku Song from Indonesia......there's no word like sayange in Malay Language.......it's absolutely from Maluku.....Ambonese language

  • mine(indonesia)

  • Just the best and only audio guides to Malaysia, just Google "Audio Guide Malaysia". See Malaysia better. With your ears.

  • Popular in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore = Incorrect!

Popular in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore = Correct!

  • pretty liked what you've played but there's still some of your accents . try hard for it !:D and you've done well :)

  • @minutemanIV I guess they didn't tell me there was an age limit.

  • Indonesia cuba mahu claim lagi...

  • Rsa sayang songs made in indonesia,,,not malaysian or singapore...

  • Rasa Sayange = TRULY, INDONESIA

  • My history teacher said, time is often colonial era songs sung by people in the Malay and Indonesian people as entertainment songs ..

but the song originally came from Ambon, and then be recycled by the people as the song visit malaysia malaysia ...

    not a good boy ..

please respect the work of our nation ..

  • salam buat yg di ujunggebang semoga sukses..... tunggu aku pulang kampung ! suriah ...bye!

  • for me, the song doest belong to any particular country, neither malaysia, indonesia nor singapore. it belong to the malay people, whatever their nationalities are. the malaysian government used the song because it is well known and part of the people. i dont understand why indonesia has to make it an issue and claim everything. in the tourism ad, it also features chinese and indian cultural symbols, as part of malaysian mixed culture. but the government of China and India were cool with it.

  • @haneefisa I agree. Music is meant to be shared.

  • wow! well done!!! love it... anyway... if any of you guys still wanna talk shit on who claiming who.... you can sue this guy coz he is singging YOUR SONG! hahahahah

well... whatever... even scotland and england will not fight for this kind of things although THEY SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE (but different accent) .... This is public domain song, so no need to get mental on this issue ok...

but conclusion... raymond crooke sing the song perfectly!!! love it!

  • @harristhecavaliers Thanks for your comments.

  • actually

  • @TheChineseWarrior:

Whatever you said bro! Your nations doesn't have any culture ... all are imported ...

  • @joesantoso2008

My country does not have any culture? Because you don't see with the eye in Australia has many cultures, including India and China. In Indonesia only pirate culture on the island of Maluku, Sulawesi and Borneo. Why? The answer is of Javanese culture are all thieves and they declare that the Indonesian culture. Java Island is damned. They often cause lack of love for others. Javanese people do all the crazy, robbers and pirates.
