  • The Amityville Horror seems kinda based off of something H.P. Lovcraft did. I can't put my finger on it but I'm sure I've read one of his stories where there was some similarity between The Amityville Horror and the story. Can't remember which one

  • Don't listen to this at home, alone, at night

  • scares the shit out of me every time...but i still love it :D

  • I live 10 minutes from the house its in LI

  • Niggah r u crazy!!!!!!!!!!

  • One night I stayed in a haunted house out in the country, and I heard wild, inhuman laughter up in the attic/parlor. Something also rearranged the furniture in my room when I fell asleep for a few minutes. This song makes me remember that night.

  • Wow. Just read a disgusting comment about the murders. They aren't cool. Ronald DeFeo was a drugged out psychopath who murdered his family. That's the real horror.

  • Ah, the nostalgia of early 20th century urban New England real estate. It has a certain humble appeal that I can't really describe.

  • @Terpaxsten its not in new england its in long island. i live near it

  • @jtp6194 Isn't Long Island part of New York, which is part of New England?

  • @taker1z Yes i live on Long Island and Long Island is part of New York, but no one part of New York is or has anything to do with New England. New England is Connecticut, Rhode Island, Deleware, and maybe im missing one or two. but New York is NOT part of New England. Also, New England just versed New York in the superbowl lmfao. soo thats more proof for you that theyre not the same place

  • @jtp6194 Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island are New England. I just looked it up and could've sworn New York was part of it. Oh well. My bad.

  • It's freaking enough to know that house actually exist. At lease the movie lets you know what house NOT to move in and that house is the "Do Not Move In" kind of house. Youu go there and you'll die.

  • I want to live there....o-O

  • @lazybones12 And you can! For only 1.5 million dollars.

  • @TheMovieman159 is it still 4 sale?

  • @yellowfizzpop i am not sure, you can look it up on google or something to see for your self.

  • They say it's the gate way to Hell.

  • living in this house was hell in the 1980s, i would sit and watch tv and the ghosts would make my tv stay on "telemundo". I CANT SPEAK SPANISH...............IT WAS AWFUL!

then it tormented me with reruns of "HEE-HAW". i was so's skerd.

  • I use to live in this house in the early 80s, one night i levitated, then the next month my rent levitated, thats when i knew i had enough and had to move.

  • @721rem you really lived in that house?

  • @200PurpleYoshi NO! it was a joke. thats why i mentioned that the rent levitated. but I have and still do live in paranormally active homes. I think Im haunted and not the house. where ever I go something happens. Being saved and prayful keeps alot of things at bay.

    how about you!?

  • Im gonna wake up to the sound od this tonight lol

  • kAtCh'Em AnD KiLl'EM:)

  • ya kno wht? imma watch it 2nite!!!!! lol im gonna regret dis

  • i saw this when i was rlllllllllllllllllly little e.e it skard me imma watch it again in 6 years!!!! gr8888 lol

  • i love this movie it rocks i can watch it everyday

  • When I was four years old I would watch this film over and over and over, all the while fantasizing about Lucifer and how beautiful he would be in person. Thinking of the little ones, dead, shot in the head. Kill em Ronnie!

  • Thinking of the murders, all of them shot in the back of the head, faced down while sleeping, oh my I do believe I have an erection. No one heard the gunshots! That's right Ronnie, kill the pigs!

  • Beautiful composition!

  • This is the theme to the remake but you have the orig poster. :)

  • I built this house in miniature for school >;]

  • i drew this house by hand!!!! it took me a week or so to finesh it

  • When I was young The house looked like it had eyes!

  • @sheliene12 it STILL DOES !!

  • @sheliene12 Look at the house again. It has a face....not just eyes....yes the windows are its eyes, the chimney is its nose and the shrubs and first floor windows are its teeth. If you look at it in just the right way, its a skull with glowing eyes.

  • @john0763 I see it.

  • I ain't gone lie this song creeps me out...

  • This is not the original of course, i much prefer the original.

  • One of the most disturbing themes ever...It really scared me as a a kid. It was a great movie too...

  • @CallumJStewart PMSU, I like that lol

  • A movie more horrifying then this one is The Haunted from 1989

  • does there exist songs about amityville horror? anybody know?

  • To be honest, the image is more creepy and eery than the movie itself o.o But I was scared shirtless when I saw it as a kiddo.

  • one of my favorite theme songs. it creeped me out when I first saw this movie when I was 12

  • it sounds like the tone from Pet Sematary in a way

  • @SamWinchester81.. it is

  • It was fake! Check the wiki

  • this songs verys creepy

  • COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL

    FOR GOD SAKE.... FUCK YOU!!!!

  • @lovok123datz tight if ur a girl bug a guy fuck no

  • Prick don't dare take the piss out of the unknown! It will tear you a new arse hole cunt!

  • Omfg i have a dildo up my asshole.

  • @lovok123 ikr same

  • oooo so spookey thats stuck up ur ass

  • Reminds me of a musical piece from Legend. Probably the composer of Legend got inspiration from this.

  • FOR GOD'S SAKE, GET OUT! THERE'S FUCKING COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL!

  • 3:36 Tangina from Poltergeist!!!

  • its actually a rather moving piece, very beautiful i'll go so far to say :) i'm making vocab flashcards for a quiz in eight hours as i listen to this

  • this is pretty haunting

  • I hear the song before watching the movie....but I can't remember where and why!!!!

  • Sound like Zelda Majora Mask

  • @Darkaros16 yea it does lol zelda= best game ever made!

  • @CallumJStewart 1. The Picture of the Dead Defeo child is unexplained, even professional photographers have looked at it and said that there was no tampering with the photo

    2. The Flies and Demonic voice were witnessed by people other than the Lutz's

    3. Elements of the murders are still left unexplained

  • i just hope they stop making these movies and leave that poor town alone

  • Most pathetic book/movie about hauntings. The origional movie was okay, but the rest is bullocks.

  • @Themaniacnextdoor I actually liked the book. e. e;;

  • I lived by the amityville house. It's in long island .

  • @HommyMuzik awesome :D i would have been freaked out

  • @HommyMuzik FUCK MAN RUN THERE GONNA GET YA NEXT....RUN DAMMIT RUN!!!!!!!

  • @HommyMuzik no shit! derrr. 0_o

  • Lalo Schifrin is brilliant! He also was on Kelly Hero's. Also, little known fact, but Lalo wrote the original score for William Friedkin's movie Exorcist. When Friedkin listened to it, and found it too heavy, he dumped in the parking lot of the studio. The result was the theme by Mike Oldfield, brilliant as well and put Virgin Atlantic on the map for Richard Branson!

  • creepyes song ever

  • I like horror movies but this is not a scary song :P

  • 3:36 was so hilarious! Wtf? lmao XD

  • This helps me relax

  • Supposed to be a true story, but I don't believe it. It was nothing but a publicity stunt by that family.

  • @guitardavid79 The murders, the picture of the dead boy, and the flies accompanied by the demonic voice are all that's left unexplained.

  • they dont make stuff like this no more!Creepy yet enchanting song

  • if i lived in this house and heard this song i would leave and never look back.

  • i love this theme song so retty i frist heard it when i was 8 and then i was told it was from the movie and i was so freaked out watching but i loved it when the music played

  • It's terrifying the song suites the movie so well.

  • if they made this music sound a little less happy it would be better

  • this music made the movie more scary.

    la la la

  • Is so scary!!!

  • Is it weird to say this song might actually be scarier that the movie itself?

  • this music is fucking creepy

  • whos the sasquach laughing at 3:35

  • i love this movie and song i thought thatlaugh was scary and wierd

  • once my laptop had a demonic possessed moment i said something like "help me" or "help" it was really creepy and when i listen to this all i can think about is that.

  • this sucks

  • @ChrisRedmanMVP this does not suck u suck

  • @ChrisRedmanMVP

haha, agree with the other poster,YOU suck, not this song

  • This is one of those songs that just leaves you with a sense of unease, of wrongness. It makes me feel physically sick...why do I enjoy listening to it so much? >:)

  • @MyAccount3333 yes, I believe it was true as well, thank God we have Jesus on our side.

  • so our top rated comments, one says 3:35 is as terrifying and the other says its pethetic. strange

  • If this house was or is possed by demons, religion is a scary thing. Something so beatiful can be so dark and horrifying...

  • The music sounds similar to the music for Pet Sematary. THAT music is a lot scarier but these kids laughing make it sound a bit creepier.

  • im lookin for the lala song for "possession. the one in beggining Anybody know its name?

  • o...o This is the creepiest horror movie music ever!!!

    But, I am watching it at night with no one else in the house 0.0;

  • @TheRockon122 I have never read such a funny comment in my life LOL

  • The house still stands today. It was recently sold for $950,000 to a local resident on behalf of the community. Rumor has it, the owner wishes to tear it down and prevent further tourism to Amityville. I live near there, the house is nothing special, hell, even those famous windows are gone

  • GET OUT!!!!!

  • The laugh isn't really scary. The proper word is somewhere along the lines of "Bizarre". It's bizarre because it feels as if it shouldn't be there amongst the happy laughter of the little girls. If not laughter then the laugh makes us shudder at the thought that there is somebody out there to harm the innocent girls. The feeling of worry could easily be confused with fear as they are practically siblings in the sense that the words have the same meaning and thus close to synonyms.

  • The laugh isn't really scary. The proper word is somewhere along the lines of "Bizarre". It's bizarre because it feels as if it shouldn't be there amongst the happy laughter of the little girls.

  • Why would you think that laugh was scary? It was HILARIOUS

  • LOL And @ 3:35 i started laughin my ass off..xDD

  • This song always scares the living hell out of me..

  • 3:35...no comment.

  • 3:35 the laugh was freaky but it wasn't scary but it did sound like some messed up kid or childish adult

  • there was a rumor this was the rejected exorcist theme

  • @thedarknight307 It was confirmed. I think this theme is perfect for this film tho

  • BTW 3:35 was funny not scary

  • this is real horror

  • the laugh at 3:35 made me piss myself laughing!! what are you guys talking about LOL i was expecting this terrible scary thing and it just sounded like an obese kid

  • @TheRockon122 I agree that laugh wasnt even remotely scary

  • @TheRockon122 The movie wasn't really that scary either, I thought. The remake was only a LITTLE better, but only because of the jumpy moments. All in all, it was pretty silly.

  • Toobad this movie was based off of a stupid hox created by a media starved family.

  • sux...halloween and the exorcist are better...28 days later too rules!

  • this song has the greatest atmosphere

  • ...Terrifying!! Period!!...

  • 3:37 I imagine a big fat black lady laughing....Cmon, she wants to have fun too!

  • @CaptPreston why she gotta be black?

  • @coryzane1

Because, if she was white she would have a scrunched up puny voice...

  • The movie and song depict 2 tot different things. The film when I 1st watched it gave me nightmares for weeks, caught it on HBO. The laughter inthis doesn't botherme as badly as it does others maybe b/c Im used to strange sounds? Idk but nay way enjoyed it thx 4 posting.

  • 3:36 i laugh lol

  • its 3:36 not 3:35

  • me gustaria ver la casa por dentro...

  • @thejosep893 Ve la pelicula po c:

  • OMFG THE LAUGH AT 3:35

  • waaah>_< scaaaaaary!!

  • Oh and sounds a bit like The Children Of The Corn theme

  • Good thing I wasn't drinking anything at 3:35 or it would've went through my nose. That was...oddly funny and fucking weird.

  • This song is scary because it contains the energy of those whom were cast out of heaven.

  • ummm this does not sound like the one from the movie. uh uh it does not

  • This theme scared me more then the movie! After all this time it still creeps me the *&^% out.

  • When I was younger I would scream and cry when this theme song played at the beginning of the movie, still sends chills up my spine :)

  • This score is PERFECT for a scary movie - innocent but ominous......awesome music.............

  • the laugh is not that scary heheheh

  • the deep laugh at 3:38 is scary, not the bunch of kid laughs

  • @lenay0915 It's just a black woman laughing. Nothing to worry about.

  • i think its a family laughing together... o_O

  • 3;38 sounds like a fat kid with a lollipop

  • wtf 3:35 !! it sounds like some big dumbass laughing!

  • is this from the original or the remake?

  • @HPlookalike94 - the original i think :)

  • Many people says this flick is crappy... is that true?

  • @Chutultu As a fan of "old school" horror, I, personally, enjoyed it or found it entertaining (despite all the controversy surrounding it).

  • 3:38 Barney is laughing.

  • i heard on the radio their trying to sell the house for a over a million dollars...No buyers yet

  • @DTLT517 its worth $1.15 million, then again i doubt those so call evil spirits are still there, according to the story they are followers of the Lutz family

  • @DTLT517 probably cuz that shits is over a million dollars

  • I don't find the laughing at 3:35 very scary...

  • 3:36 the BEST!

  • i like it.......

its very very hunting and i love it!!!!

  • this theme is very haunting

  • wtf at 3:36

  • I love horror movies....

  • I love this song! it makes me think of an old house.

  • @Lucas464748 I, TOO, love this theme! In my opinion, the ONLY OTHER HOUSES this theme might fit or suit are the famous Psycho house and the eerie-looking house (used) in the horror/slasher film Don't Go In The House.

  • angles<3. ilovethissonq<3

  • Man 3:35 is way creepy i think ill have night mares now lol kidding im not that much of a scardycat XD

  • oh fuck! 335 did give me chills!haha

  • I love this music. Call me crazy but, I could fall asleep or cry listening to this music, before the laughing that is. That's how relaxing and emotional I find it to be.
