  • What gives? I just took a look at your website, and it's nothing. Just a bunch of ads. You have no products, no info, not even any pictures.

  • WOW!!! Now that is really cool!!! I like the vertical launch I never knew one could do a vertical launch of a pulse jet like that. In the first part ov you movie your jet seemed to pulsing at a higher rate and it sounded a bit like the pitch a honeybee makes. You should make a launch rail 20 feet high then have a wire attached to your engine so when its at the very top and want to shut it down you can pull it down. Great vid, thanks for uploading.

  • 3 - Do not be installed on models, because they radiate a lot of temperature.

You can only fly in certain special model airplanes, but not in models, unlike the EDF and turbojets.

I have several valves pulsed with and without valves and well what I mean.

For these reasons, left for the public only as a curiosity.

  • People do not use these engines for the following reasons:

1 - produce much noise. The sound that has no realistic because a simple electric ducted fan has a sound more real, turbine, these pulse jet models. Produce hearing damage.

2 - They have no throttle control. D is a way to fly rude.

  • It is impossible that this engine can increase vertical model. The title is

    FALSE.

  • I see potential for this to be used in a :

Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! Jet pack! :D

Especially the power to weight ratio of a PJ could be a major factor in it being used as a jet pack over a regular mini turbine.

  • are there any full scale pulse jet planes?

  • could you run a pulse jet off of MAP gas

  • You should try and half the throttle and get it to sustain a designated height on the rod. Like a hover mode.

  • hey, im just curious what does it roughly cost to build one of these? and how much fuel can you burn at one time in one? lol

  • sounds like a giant fart

  • three words.. HEAT SEEKING MISSILE

  • It seems like it runs too hot to have any RC applications...

  • Thats pretty mean grunnty lil thing,... you metioned a Thrust Augmentation Duct... I was just woundering how you could make one. 1 other question Could you send us a URL link to your website caus emy computer is being silly and brings me to this random site.

    Cheers. :)

  • What happened to your site?

  • red hot(( wanna put it on my goped lol, but afraid to roast my legs)

  • you wont make a rocket, he'll get in trouble.

  • MAKE A ROCKET PLZZZ !!!!!

  • Notice the headsets they have on?

These things are sooo noisy, your eardrums are ripped to shreds a thousand feet away. I might be off by a couple feet.

  • fucking music men..

  • ok how much would it be to make me a gokart with two of these on the back

  • Why do pulsejets glow red hot but turbojets and turbofans don't?

  • @mgibbs88 inside parts of turbofans and turbojets do. this doesn't have a shroud covering it is all

  • @mgibbs88 WHY?

Because these things are basically an uncontrolled cutting torch in a tube.

  • Wow, that TSFC is impressive! thats better than most full size turbojets, and some small turbofans

  • aw you gotta let that baby go!!!!

  • what kind of fuels can you run these off of?

  • @flamedrag18 gas, propane, methanol, hydrogen.. pretty much any fuel that burns.

  • if it runs hot enough to melt steel then how could you even mount this to something without it bursting into flames?

  • where you been eric. hope youre feeling better...the tig welding stainless produces nasty fumes. probably why you got sick,, keep up the great work

  • Can a modern pulse jet be throttled?

  • whats the music that starts at 1:25 please help

  • and another use for this is a patio heater (:

  • the reason they arent used on rc airplanes is that they will melt the plane before it can get off the ground! a water-cooler would be great for these engines...

  • Now touch it.

  • I need one of these to get rid of the ice on my porch! lol. thank god it's concrete. :D

  • I believe that their worst problem is the lack of throttling, they either run at full power or not at all.. Or is there power control available for the pulse jets also nowadays?

  • @mhyotyni You`ll have full control over the throttle. You can also throttle it up or down at a very high rate. Throttling is fully variable and depends on the size and type of the fuel tank outlet valve, intake holes leading into the engine and the amount of pressure coming from the fuel tank to the engine.

  • very effective..hair dryer

  • Not a bad idea!

  • you could build a sweet rocket with this engine

  • can you do this with hydrogen oxygen and water vapor?

  • My worry would be that in an attempt to keep the metal that connects the jet to the rest of the craft cool, that the metal would wear out faster, if not warp.

  • From what material is the frontal valve made of, because I see that is puted in to a lot of stress?

  • What is it made of?

  • well thats purty cool. too bad they're so fuck'n loud!!!

  • verry cool

  • Send it directly to the stratosphere.

And remove the music from the video. I want to hear the sound of crazy machines.

  • Pretty cool! Two questions, If you were to put an engine like this onto an aircraft, how would you attach a generator and or a hydraulic pump for aircraft use? And how hot does the exhaust get?

  • @government28

A small turbine could be put in the inlet of the engine very easily and generate enough voltage to run any RC accessories.

On a big plane you would need a different implementation because the hydraulics will need much more torque, though some pretty large planes can be made without using any hydraulics, everything used to be pulleys and hand levers.

The core exhaust temp is more than hot enough to melt steel.

  • @BeckTechnologies ....... why dont you just use a turbine on a plane.... they are more efficient and are becoming more and more

  • Hey Eric nice setup. are you planning anything with this setup or is it just a proof of concept?

  • @1metiz

With the test rig, no not really, it was cannibalized parts from a setup that was supposed to be used on a discovery channel show on alcohol fuel, not sure but it seems like the series was cut after 1 episode.

Vertical engines, yes, we've done a bunch of other things with them, waiting for a decent snowfall before doing any extensive tests though.

Things have been hell here, will be releasing a lot of stuff that before I would have kept proprietary, as I try to restructure the biz.

  • @BeckTechnologies excellent, can't wait as this is really interesting. To see someone design and construct this type of project is impressive.

  • @BeckTechnologies only prob is the heat :P melt your plane to pices

  • great!!!

  • Awsome!

  • how high would it go if the standing rod was unlimited in length?

i know that's imagined but just curious, never seen this type of system before?!

    very cool job!!

    5 thumbs up!!

  • @psychodelicdragon

A standard pulsejet will work up to about 10,000 feet without much problem, even 15,000 if its set up properly, though with a good ram air diffuser setup, and a few other tricks, I dont see why 30k feet would be out of the question. Higher than that and there's really not much air left to work with.

  • Impressive
