Thanks mate. I love the sound that this thing makes, and I'm really lucky and privileged to own it. I wouldn't sell it now; nor would I sell the '77 2203 or '71 Major I own. I also have a 4140 Club & Country combo and an '84 2140 JCM800 50 watt combo. I just love Marshalls, what can I say. I've got other amps, but you can't beat an old Marshall! 85 onwards, forget it! That's my advice... apart from the 2245, 1987 and 1959 X series. I've had the JTM45 & 1959, and would have again. Keep on rockin!
@parosite - Are you nuts, dude? You want to mod a '68 or '69 Plexi with that shit?
No, attenuators ARE NOT hard on the transformer. Cranking amps in general is what is hard on your transformer. An attenuator represents nothing more to the amp than another load like the speakers do.
@LordSupro I've also heard that the Power Brakes are hard on the transformers. Apparently THD Hot Plates are supposed to be a lot better. But I would definitely agree with you, don't mod that vintage beauty.
Anything is for sale at the right price... I suppose this price makes the amp fairly prohibitive for most people. So I don't want to sell it, but if someone bids it, then it's sold... Are you interested???
@JasonNorthBlues man i just saw a plexi head in a store today for sale but i searched for it on youtube and dont find it..its a marshall 100w plexi but the inputs not all in the right side like urs ...there are 2 in the right and 2 in the middle ...can u tell me what model is this'?

Sounds great. My RI doesn't even come close even after my MM trannies and mods I've down. Nice tone.

Couldn't agree more. You NEVER mod a vintage amp in near perfect condition. Or a vintage guitar for that matter.
