haha i had the hollywood collection too!! miami vice was my fav,was like a primitive version of grand theft auto! brilliant!! i also rem there was a 'fast load' version of platoon!!
Those OO`s in Platoon.. Im 31 now but the last time i saw that loading screen i was 8-9.. Ive never heard of dog tags by that age.. However i had two older sister.... hmmm... white things with strings on the end that you could find in the bathroom:D.
@Simuloide Oh no they didnt :D Tapes were always a hassle, and adjusting the read-head on the tape player was something that needed to be done very often at my house :) Waiting 10 minutes for something to load on the tape, just to not work in the end was always sucky.
ty for the seizure due those flashing colors. I now no longer have to work for a living. god bless america.

aaah the anticipation of a successfully loaded game! And the horror of half an hour down the drain when it went wrong :-)

I had a copy of Platoon for the Commodore 64 which was part of a collection of film tie in games called The Hollywood Collection.

Sure. I remember it happened with some floppies though. Not with tapes, they tend to be more reliable

@Simuloide I've had much much more trouble with tapes... Perhaps you are talking about this game in particular?
