I belly dance as a hobby and was very disappointed when I was in Cairo a couple of years ago and didn't see any belly dancers.They are now only in hotels and night cruises for tourists. I was at a seedy club and it had belly dancers who were basically like strippers, there only to dance with the men. It's very sad that the birthplace of this art form is losing it. What a shame...
