  • how much is the overall cost to maintain one of those including the fish, decor, hood, skimmer, and everything?

  • This tank is too small for ANY tang. It may be 45 gallons, but it is too boxy anyway. Tangs need long tanks b/c they need the good swimming room. I hope you have plans to upgrade or give them to someone with a bigger tank.

Besides that point tho great looking tank I love the shimmer effect!

  • Its a Reef Octopus hang on back BH 100F protein skimmer. Thats all I'm running. Currrently, I have the Yellow Tang and a pair of Clown Fish.

  • what kind of skimmer is that hanging on the back of the tank?

  • nice tank , maybe everyone shouldnt slag about the tangs and tank size whts to say hes gona keep them long term?

  • Nice, probably too small for any Zebrasoma species.

  • what is wrong with you people? yellow and sailfin tangs should absolutely NOT be in a tank that small. people piss me off!

  • i agree with the sailfin tang part there is no way you can keep one in a 45 gallon but a yellow tang in a 45 gallon is sometimes exceptable depending on your tank dimensions

  • how bout 36 wide 24 tall?

  • i have a 45 gallon with those same dimensions and my yellow tang is doing ok

  • Oh calm down and fuck off asshole..

  • look bitch was i talkin to you?

  • @yourmomisbeastin well he only has 3 fish so suck on muh ball sack.

  • Hi i tink this aquarium is 2 small 4 you tangs.

  • dbo, if you plan on having a reef, remove the bio-wheels after the tank is cycled, they will return nitrates into your water, live rock is your biological filtration in sw, i wouldnt remove the filter completley unles your using a sump. definitly get a good skimmer and good lights, thoes are two things you cant skimp on in this hobby, especially the skimmer. i just got a reef octopus skimmer and its amazing, good luck to you

  • hi, your tank looks great. I just got a 47g sw, about 2 mths now, all I have on it is a emerson 400 biowheel filter. Should i get a good protein skimmer and couple powerheads and ditch filter? Also what is that lighting system with the stands called you have?

  • hey i just set up a 47 gallon, 2 mths now, all I have is a emerson 400 bio wheel filter on it, should I ditch it get a good skimmer and add a couple of powerheads? your tanks looks great
