I like and have a 44mag , and a gold 50 ae , i like the 44 magnum better cause recoil is manageable and it destroys stuff ,as you have shown. The company says Desert eagles are accurate guns , i never shot over 100 yards . The 44 magnum ammo , is more common ,even with me reloading.

@celestialobserver although i do not own one i think the main attraction is the bullet. .50 just kinda claims dominance. a big bulky chromed out gun will win over the bling blingers too. although there are revolving pistols with moe fire power, im pretty sure this is the largest calibur you can find in a semi-auto pistol.

@demonseed19 "they" is quite a broad statement. Sure the Marines and Army for the most part carry the Beretta. However, different branches of the miltary use different weapons. The Navy issues Sig p226's.Therefore, with that difference being stated groups use different weapons. You very well may have seen a medic carry an m4, but the high majority of the medics I've been around don't carry one. They may be issued it, but don't carry it into combat for obvious reasons.
