  • Very great stuff,thumbs up

  • what your speaking so quitly

  • CANNOT hear these instruction videos :(( I have it blasted and my speakers blasted. I thought finally I would get somewhere with blender and SL, but to no avail :(( Ty for attempt anyhow.

  • Is Blender more easier to use when it comes to sculpties? i'm experienced in 3DS Max but it doesn't seem as forgiving lol.

  • cant i delete the selected meshes?

  • How do you upload sculpties with the array modifier active? I attempted to do this with a ladder, and it only uploaded the sculpy without the modifier.

  • On my blender I have no such thing as SCULPT MESH plz help.

  • Please increase the volume of your microphone next time

  • You talk too low, please speak louder =(

  • Does anyone know how to do this in Blender 2.53?

  • Select Multires to get the same kind of shape he has when you make the mesh with the newer scripts guys. + thumbs up if this helped you (so it can help others). Don't select simple, as someone else said, stay with catmull or you'll get really weird lumps on your sphere. Otherwise a very good tut!!

  • @Zerocreature Thank you for that, I was about to ask haha!

  • if u have windows the sclupt is on ur pc, u dont need to download them

  • Where can I find the scripts

  • Comment removed

  • i get less vertices also and i have the sculpt mesh scripts installed...

  • hello , when i go and click on "sculp mesh" the window that appears to me to select a shape, seems to be quite different from the one that we see in this video. Also the sphere I create seems to have less sides than yours (its divided in larger and less pieces) why is that happening?

  • i found out you have to select 32 for the X and 16 for the Y then select 1 level. Then your will look like his and you can still use extrude and such.

  • the Y is how many faces around and the X is how many you want up and down the sides.

  • @SANDYBELLgrPROJECT i am having the same issue with my version, anyone that could help us out would be greatly appriecated!!!

  • @SANDYBELLgrPROJECT i was playing around with my version and after you select sculpted mesh and the menu screen appears click on the bottom two options not shown in his tutorial and it will make your sphere appear like his.... good luck!!!

  • Guys if you don't see a "sculp mesh" option that means that you haven't inserted the sculp scripts right, you need to see the first tutorial video in which he explains how to do it right.

  • I can hardly hear you even at 200% Audio

  • where is the sculpt mesh? why i dont see it? where i can get it? plllls anwser

  • @trobyto i have the same problem

  • I'm having the same situation, where is the sculpt mesh?

I just recently downloaded the program literally like 2 minutes ago, perhaps it's a upgraded verison? I'll search around but it'll be easier to know if you another way.

  • strange. i can't seem to get as many faces as yours...i only get larger parts instead of finer faces...mabey its just my graphics card

  • Hey, im running this on Mac OS X and I did everything you said to use the scripts, and "Sculpt Mesh" is appearing on the drop down box, but when I click it it's saying "Python Script Error: Check Console". Why is this? I don't think I have to install python, i'm pretty sure this computer already has it.

  • I thought mac just works

  • did you ever figure it out?

  • i dont have sculpt mesh how do i get it?

  • Thanks Torey , you always do such a great job for all of us in SL, I recognize that voice always, Shunks

  • I can´t hear it...

  • I got it to work w00t! All you guys have to do is go into the primstar folder, highlight all the scripts including library folder, and extract to your scripts folder.

The guy who made primstar is a genius but too retarted to give simple installation instructions

  • ok when i make a sculpted mesh, and i go to edit it,.... it puts the sphere in a pink box or circle how do i change this?

  • After I've add the sculpty Mesh, I've get a diffrent handler like you. I can't reach the single faces of the sphere.

  • im having that problem too

  • the script page dosnt work!! UPS

  • I've you want the scripts, send me a IM and i give you a working link :)

  • i Dont get sculpt mesh, how do i repair that thing?

  • um i dnt hav sculpt mesh can u help asap

  • can someone please help me, whenever i enter edit mode, the cursor disappears and i dont know how to toggle it back HELPPPPP!!!!!!!!

  • After a few videos that "Uhh..." will go away. I just started doing Blender/Torque/Constructor videos and I thought I was the only one who did that lol.

  • how do i unsave what ever i saved with control U?

  • ALT+U goes back in history... If you save a file and don't exit that screen or make a new screen, then you are able to go back to some changes that were previously made.

If you saved then exit then there's no going back unless you made a backup (make backups often)

  • plus there is no script folder in the blender folder

  • i tryed uninstalling and reinstalling it and even using 3.0 python instead of 2.6 still dont have sculpt mesh option it does say when i start up blender in that black dos box it says no installed python found, only built in modules are available, some scripts may not run HELP PLZ!

  • Download Python 2.5 or 2.6 to get rid of that error and to allow the use of other scripts.

  • great vid i mean lol!

  • i dont show sculpt mesh as an option choice can you help? get vid btw :)

  • Can you tell me how to get sculpt mess because I don't have that in my version of blender which I just downloaded?

    Thank you

  • Hi, I want you to do the tutorial with subtitles in Portuguese ... for Brazil, as in Second Life, about 5% of users are Brazilians.

    'Thanks.

  • Just incase he doesn't speak Portuguese, it's possible to ask him to add in another video with subtitles if you provide the exact translation :)

  • o.o I did everything right in the tutorial for installing blender and the scripts, but it gives me the error: 'No module named import_sculptie'?

  • Make sure you have 7 scripts in your script folder (Probably two text files as well), including the import_sculptie script. If you're missing that, or any of the others, make sure you've extracted them all from the download. If you don't have all 7 in that downloaded file, redownload and try again.

  • @BlenderSL ok i installed the scripts just how you said but when i click sculpt mesh it saids python script error check console

  • @fatdudefoshizzle Hopefully you've figured it out by now, but if not, when blender is opened, there should be 2 windows open, the Blender program that you interact with, and a console window which shows text to reflect what is happening in the background. The full error message will be the last entry of this text. At this point, the error likely because the wrong version of Python is installed. Uninstall Python and install the version listed at the top of the console window. It should be 2.6.2

  • and what are you talking about during 2:35 to 2:54 !!!! I'm so confused lol

  • Tab into edit mode, meaning literally press the TAB key to enter Edit Mode. Then, press the button I'm shown as pressing, to switch to Edge select mode, rather than Vertex (A vertex is a point). Then, press the A key to deselect everything that is selected, which is by default every section of the mesh.

  • okay I'm having big troubles with blender. You know during 'space', 'add', 'mesh', and 'sculpt mesh'. I couldnt find sculpt mesh... please reply!!!! Thank you, it'll help alot!!!

  • Watch my 'Installing Blender and Scripts' tutorial, it explains installing Blender and the SL Sculpt scripts by Domino Marama. You haven't properly installed them, or else you would get that option.

If you've downloaded and unpacked the files, you still need to tell Blender where to find them. As I said, watch my Installing Blender tutorial.

  • Hello, my sphere's mesh isn't as tight as yours- ie, the "net" part is wider on mine, leaving me with fewer ways to manipulate the sphere. How do I tighten up my mesh?

  • Okay I figured out how to add vertices. :) NVM !

  • Hi, i'm having the same problem as you. How did you add vertices? Thanks.

  • actually I thought I found a fix but it didn't really work :( sorry. If you find the fix tho you should post it here in case I ever pick up Blender again :D

  • ok, thanks. i think i've found something that will work, my mesh looks a little odd, but at least i have more than 8 vertices now. i'm just running through the tutorial to see if my fix works, will keep you posted.

  • Waaaaah... this is driving me insane.... trying to do exaclty what you say in your tut. But I cannot use the bounding box selection.. I see the square and drag it over the ball, but it doesn't select it at all!? I tried editmode and object mode. Any clues for what I am doing wrong? And btw right click doesn't work either.. when I have something selected with for instance pressing double B, I cannot right click and deselect it..Anybody any clues?

  • Ok.. found the solution.. I fooled around alot without knowing what I was doing. That somehow messed up my settings for the programm. So I just went to File -> Load factory settings, and all works again! :)

Oopsy... Now I can continue your tutorials.. keep up the good work.. much appriaciated

  • Quite honestly, I have no idea what the setting that causes this is, though I've done it myself. Glad that you've got it fixed though!

  • He was probably trying to select as a solid. (that mode where you can't select the faces on the side opposite your view.

  • Could be (That's called occlude background geometry btw)

  • yes thanks. Thanks for these vids BTW, They are helping me a lot. :-)

  • How do I get the 'sculpt mesh'? Is it only for Blender 3D?

  • The first tutorial in this series/playlist is installing the Python Scripts for Blender, and where to download them.

The scripts I use are purely for Blender, yes, but there are equivalents (Or at least similar scripts) for Maya, 3ds Max, and some others, as well.

  • I´m so happy that your tutorials are online now :DDDD Thanks 5*
