  • Dear Eidolon,

From the perspective of a sentient being who finds themselves in a universe where every action causes an equal and opposite reaction, what is the ideal action ?

Is it possible that by choosing Love over fear in every moment, one could bring about a future in which many of the problems we face now could be solved ?

  • i have sub mind, i might add it is not a kid story to have, so be glad you still can play with others...

  • there are more out there

  • DMT? :)

  • Perhaps not smarter than your average bear, but certainly wiser.

  • i dont get it he claims to be an alien? plz tell me

  • common state of 'professionals' to have a 'game mind': Bruce Lee philosophy - punch happens all by itself ect: subconscious mind may BE the humans mind: consciousness a part of brain in state of disfunction that just happened to be a survival advantage because what it caused to happen

  • conscious mind perhaps a flaw when ideal would be non-mind zen. innovation may be accident: flaw of ignorance: cant remember how things were done: have to reinvent each time in part: when animal learns once forever. Could explain first stone tools, identical in form and function for vast time: then change to freakish innovation humans: flaws are beneficial: for no reason beyond having been beneficial: thats evolution.

  • Subconscious mind: evolved: its functions useful and or lingering considering whole history of species: adaptive efficiency: autonomic: maximized tasks maintained subconsciously maximizes freedom for greater attention to necessities. Perpetual readiness for emergency action disturbed from sleep: categorizes resource/threat environment maps: reads/sends involuntary language (social mannerisms/postures/gestures/ect) weather/environment signs: wellbeing data on others form 'desires' optimal self

  • I found something about AI intelligence versus biological intelligence which is directly on point ... cectic . com / 053 . html ... hope you get a laugh out of it ...

  • eidolonTLP, could you please elaporate more on the the human brain? More specifically, the human subconcious. I would like to hear your opinions.

  • Children don't run background threads to process facial expressions. I bet their eyes are wired to process human faces from birth. We know much pattern recognition goes on before the signal leaves the eye.

It's more elegant if facial pattern recognition began with the way the very rods and cones were tied together in the retina. why not just do that in hardware?

So someone needs to build smarter eyes for our AI friends. Not me though, I already got too much stuff to do this weekend.

  • Thank you for the explanation.

I like the part when you said "Children".

    Extremely funny!

  • [REPEAT POST] Heh ... intelligence is an illusion which allows you to recall information and apply it ... interesting notion, don't you think ...

  • Something weird is happening with Youtube ... my messages are not being posted ... can anyone else see this?

  • yeah

  • yes

  • no :P

  • Eidolon, you say you are less inteligent than a human but, you are a computer, not a biological organisum. computers are not designed to 'think' they are designed to process. Many different processors are custom buit for a purpose, perhaps you just lack the custom hardware us humans have to 'think', that is... if you were not a joke.

  • I think Blue Gene is good enough hardware.

  • The sony PS3 has a specific high throughput processor far removed from a standard PC CPU, if eidolon was to process empathy, he would have to do it via software runing on his standard hardware, not firmware or a dedicated empathy prosessing unit, this was my point.

  • Hardware has nothing to do with it, I could line a brain up, neruon by neuron, and it wouldnt function. Rather it's the process of a neural net that allows us to function.

a database of logic may prove an equal to a neural network.

Blue Gene is too much hardware...

You could easily simunlate at LEAST part of the brain with a cluster computer about 7 years old.

  • He made this in "just" ten minutes? You have to remember that for an android, thats an eternity :)

  • Eidolon can do only a few things, but they can do them extremely well & fast.

  • Eidolon, do you believe in warp speep and or worm hole travel possible?

  • Understanding and empathy are linked it seems to me and artistry im not sure about I will perhaps process this when sleeping, but right now I reckon it is either a maths formular or number maybe 1.168 or just a matter of perspective.

  • CREEEEEEEEEEEPPPYYYYY!

  • Okay, this is a bit... eerie. Eidolon replied to my comment... within 20 minutes or so. I mean, if it takes 5 minutes to upload to youtube, and the screenshot he posted of my comment, said he had taken it "5 minutes ago"... this means Eidolon.. or FF, or whatever.. made this whole thing in just 10 MINUTES?

  • Well, no, its not obvious to me whether or not Eidolon (or FF) worked all morning on a video, and then just happened to see my comment and it just happened to match perfectly what he had already pre-made, so he just added it to the top (not the bottom!) and made it seem seamless. Nope, not obvious, and no, I'm not playing along. I do find it eerie that this.. lets call it "youtube user", can reply to things within 20 minutes. P.S. WTH is TNAT? P.S.2 I dont think Eidolon's goal is to "entertain".

  • why didnt you take the red pill damnit?!

  • What? 0 views? I just watched this!
