i describe Faith No More as simply genius, there are very few bands out there that are able to compete with their musicianship and creativity.. Mike Patton is one of the most dynamic and exiting vocalists of the modern world and its a pleasure to listen to his music at any time of the day when i feel good or bad Faith No More brings me a source of great enjoyment and i will never get tired of this band especially this song
1 if ok? Mike Patton said it was about drowing his girlfriend. :) And he is insane, but most genius's are are. Like me. I can rip his Vocals string from string perfectly. :)
@Psychocybinator I once heard that it was aboout some guy who would screw dolphins in a zoo, but I have often believed that someone was pulling my leg on this. Still it makes a funny story
wacke666 you really are a retard or a just deaf. first time i heard fnm i was watching rock in rio and waiting for gnr.i heard the crab song. Ever since that i was in love with just about every song fnm have done.Every single member of the band are prooly one of the best in there feild and mike is the best singer i have ever heard.probably the best live band ever shame i never got to see em. STill long live youtube ^^
this is Wacke666 again, I meant that serious! I love FNM, they're my favorite band I actually DO wonder why the hell they didn't include all masterpieces they performed. You stupid moron!
Faith no More is my fav. band of all time, Patton is a vocal god!, but there is no need to talk down about Nirvana! They were completely different styles of music. Long live Mike Patton, and RIP Kurt....
I don't mean to say Nirvana are bad, or that Nevermind wasn't any good, it's just I think most people who claim to be into Nirvana have only ever listened to Nevermind, as it is their most popular album. Or thats how it seems in my area anyway.
But, I don't get why we're dicussing Nirvana on a Faith No More video anyway!
I don't think you can compare those 2 bands...one was more punk oriented, didn't have synth,Cobain had to sing and play guitar,Nirvana didn't use much FX,etc.Nirvana's and FNM "thing" was diferent...
I like Angel Dust and is one of the best records ever...but after that FNM's records weren't that good...
@eriurpigurerpi I realize that you said this 3 years ago, but wtf? How could anyone compare Faith No More to Nirvana? FNM obviously outshines in every aspect.
This Is Actually One Of My Favorite Songs From FNM, But as far as i can see, This Is The Only Vid Of It, What A Shame,,, Every Time I Hear It, It Sticks In My Head For Weeks, It's Also The Perfect Song To Sing To Yourself While You're Swimming!!!!HAHAHA
pattons reluctance to conform shows.. in his shows. he has one of the most magical voices ive ever heard, and he still to this day, does not use it to potential. unless its the "shit on a platter" called phantomas.
it dosnt matter. if nobody liked him or bought his records, more than likely he would still be doing this. which makes him good in my opinion. and the fact that that means nothing to him is what makes him great. so there's really no use on commenting on MR. Patton
FNM was my fav as a teen.. that was when i was 13.. always been the creative type, and patton is still amazing me. im 32 years old now.... but back in 89' thats when a music revolution started... and it wasnt fuckin nirvana.
I agree miztik it would have been better having a performance of this over The Grade. Still, I got a performance of it live anyway. Great vid. Did Mike steal that jacket from Jim?

The best thing about this song is that it's about a man drowning his lover. At least I'm pretty sure that's what it's about.

It sounds so beautiful and sexy, when Patton sings "Touch me from below
I’ll never let you go" but only on original record))

I like the shaved Red T-Shirt Mike in Chile better than this bored dancing rawk Mike.
Even back then you can tell he's in dire need of being stretched musically.
Roddy Bottum's changing clothes are no less interesting - he's a cool customer.

Nirvana were great. just because people over rate them doesnt mean they werent good.

Nirvana were good, but people generally over look 'In Utero' which, in my mind, is the better and more accomplished Nirvana album.
ibanezmancons 2 years ago
well sure, but thats not nirvana's fault.lol In Utero is easily my favorite and i believe it to be their most ambitious effort.
