sorrow is a negative emotion... so saying sorry over and over again is filling yourself with negativity, so instead of asking forgiveness just fix the problem isn't that easier? saying sorry is just a word, back it up with action
We are saying "I'm sorry" for forgiveness to ourself to release the negative emotions we have not sorry as if we feel sorrow for what is happening in our worlds. Forgiveness is defined as "to cease to feel resentment against (an offender)" while sorrow is defined as "deep distress, sadness, or regret especially for the loss of someone or something loved". You see the difference. Asking for forgiveness is an action.

sorry my comment was a bit 'curt'. in the teachings of mauitikitiki a Taranga, the demigod, that has been handed down and taught to me all darkness and negativity must be sent to the sun from whence we came and where we go back to. Ka La will return it as sunbeams rainbows and life giving light.
I have been taught that only Ka La can do this, and the part of him that is us, of us that is him. we protect ourselves from negativity with the transmuting violet flame Te Kahukura o Tu Matau E Nga, actually i had a 35 billion dollar day hehe thanks
