I don't like My jeep. it sucks off road. i don't understand the hype. i have a good suspension on it. great tires. and it just sucks. it gets stuck in a small patch of mud kind of like i see in this video. My toyota puts it all over My jeep and My toyota is stock with oversized tires. We had a small snow the other day less than an inch. and My dodge neon did better on the roads than the jeep did in 4 wheel. its just bad. i will stick to My toyota. speaking from experience.

@MrGizmo757 W/no disrespect, are you sure you don't have a problem somewhere? A hub not locking up front, a sheared slpine on an axle? I mention this because I had the R-R splines go on my CJ-7, and the C-clip help the axle on, and I had an F-250 that would'nt lock the manual hubs. I'm saddened to hear your story, and I'm not disputing your post. Good luck.

@hutch1200 nope. it has solid hubs. they are all locking up. it just gets terrible traction. after drive it and getting a feel for it i blame the short wheel base and the tall center of gravity. its just bad. i drove a TJ about a week ago and it was even worse. it is just not a good off road vehicle. i know there are tons of people that would argue that fact. but i experienced it first hand. not just aMy jeep. i drove a few. its just bad. sorry jeep guys. i know what i experienced.

You may have already figured this out, but 4 low is for climbing and long travel maneuvers. When dealing with mud, you want it in 4 high to fling the mud out of your tread and keep up momentum.
