  • hes most likley putting to much wait in the front witch is causing it to lean forward. you need to stand up and lean back to bring the engine wait more towrds the back so u can level out

  • velislide is right but the thing is that this retard is sitting down the whole time, for most jumps you need to stand up. for seat bouncing there must be a sort run, and it takes the right jump and right technique. you see alot SX riders doing it.

  • I think that every time he becomes airborne he gets scared and puts on the brakes. He needs to stay on the gas to keep the nose up. Putting on the brakes brings the nose down. Do you think anyone explained this to him after the race? We all have to learn the hard way or the easy way. Looks like he likes to learn the hard way. Ha, Ha, good for a laugh!!

    Sorry, but it is plain stupid to think that a device that is speeding by a ground-contacting wheel sort of thing (don't know the English word) would be steerable in the air by the amount of gas.

    Should have to do something with frontweight ;)

  • Have you ever played with a top when you were a kid? It is the same theory. It is called centripetal force. If the track is spinning at the same rate or faster the machine will stay at the same angle, as it was when it left the ground.  Changing the centripetal force of the track will allow the machine to change its angle. Like putting on the brakes in midair. Staying on the gas will hold the machine at the same angle, as it was when it left the ground.

  • I am familiar with at least the basics of physics, but i don't see any relation between this and a top.

    A top: Centrifugal forces from the middle axis in all directions with the same strength -> held steady and upright while its fast enough.

    Snowmobile: A wheel-thingy as propulsion, turned by the motor.

    To have any effect on the snow-mobiles mid-air-behavior it would now have to build up forces of some kind.

    They might be very common in the US or Canada, here in Europe though there are hardly any of these.

    It would just be nice to hear an explanation instead of a useless insult.

    If i take for example Monster Trucks, which are also not / hardly existent here in Europe, i would say exactly the same thing.

    Giving gas in the air changes nothing <- thats what i think.

  • Ever heard of I think Newton's first law? What What happens when you try to stop a spinning object in the air? The force your stopping will push it the way it was going. If you try to stop that huge spinning track with the brake caliper, its going to push the sled nose down, if you give it throttle and spin that huge track, it will pull the sled nose up.

    Sorry for all the obviously stupid comments before, i just couldn't imagine what change the driver would make, as i imagined the spinning track allot smaller as it seems to be.

  • Well, for me it sounded quite nuts what GSLsailor said as he put in no explanation or nothing and just said that giving gas would steer up while breaking would steer down.

    Didn't make any sense to me and sounded rather trollish, and him being the only one writing anything alike even supported my mistrust in his knowledge.

    So well, i was quite sure about it and i am a rather...smart-aleck (dictionary) on the internet due to all these trolls out there : /

  • Oh my goodness I snow that has got to suck because I have some friends that snowmobile and they have gotten into accidents and have been in the hostpile for over 3 to 4 weeks? It sucks and so really it's not funny at all!?
