Do you know by any chance if this is a Maqam or a Tone? And which one?

I don't know tones, but I'm pretty sure it's in maqam nehawand, with hijaz on the 5th.

This would be almost the same as a western minor scale, except I'm pretty sure the vocalists are hitting microtones when they sing hijaz (it sounds to me like the instruments are just playing notes found on the piano, in which case the accompaniment seems to just be a minor scale.)

That's how I hear it, but I'm no expert. It's fun to try and analyze it.

Yes, the Chaldean Catholic Church is in communion with the Pope of Rome, the Vicar of Saint Peter. But our own Patriarch is the Vicar of Saint Thomas, and we consider him equal to the Pope, even though he is not the first among equals.

@AndreaSPitaim Saint Thomas is the patron of India and did found the church there as well. However, the churches in India were always and some still are, under either the jurisdiction of the Syriac Orthodox Church or the Assyrian Church of the East which he founded First. The Catholic Indian churches such as the Syro-Malabar and Syro-Malankara are independent of those previous churches.
