Too bad VW had a Japanese firm design the MK5, at least the MK6 was designed in Germany again. Though the Japanese influence is stil there, so the MK4 is really the last true German Golf.

They're ALL dope!! But, if I had to pick between all of them brand new from a dealer, I would pick the mk4 with a 24v (2.8 and/or 3.2), I haven't driven/felt a better engine than it... But if I could, shit I would get all of them :)
