I sat for 3 1/2 hours getting work done over the "sternum of death" (as my artist calls it) and in other surrounding areas. It wasn't too bad until my endorphins starting failing on me. By the third hour I had the cold sweats, was shaking a little, and my eyes were flinching a billion times a minute. It's no picnic. 6 hrs total.

Hey now. I have a chest piece. A freaking huge one and he did well. He didnt flinch etc. And making faces helps some people deal with the pain. Over the sternum and near the neck sucks. Hurts like a bitch is an understatement for most ppl. Most ppl cant handle them. So be nice.

Yeah, that shit hurts. But the more you tense your face or body the more it will hurt. That's why I talk to the artist casually or bring a friend to talk to. I'll seriously forget I'm getting tattooed.... unless they go over a bone :)

@datbuoy08 so true my friend,, i have a shit load of tats all over my body ,, and the worst one was on the ribs!!!!!! i got a pice from my armpit down to my waist,,all on the side,, and man when it got to the ribs.. holy shit!!... its all good tho....
