Virtumonde is an evolving virus/trojan. Programs like Malwarebyted and the ones you listed no longer have the ability to delete them. And if they do, they also harbor the potential to damage the system as it removes the malware. This stuff is crap. I would suggest "Vundo Fix" by atribune. They know exactly what they're doing....

These Viruses are spread Via USB autorun.inf You gotta turn off the autorun feature of win xp. Malware is getting more sophisticated these days. Don't trust fake antiviruses with stupid names like super anti spyware, its social engineering.

I've tried SpyBot, SuperAntiSpyWare, Avira, MalwareBytes, VundoFix and VirtumondeBeGone.

They all *find* the virus, but it comes right back. Check again, you may still have it. It's a nasty little thing, and difficult to completely get rid of.

Also, if you like online games, I reccomend Atlantica Online. :x

*Delete all files,history & cookies

*I opened settings - view files

*Open each of d folders (1x1) u c.

*Press view - arrange icons by - modified - arrange icons by - show in groups

*u will notice that it is arrnged on d day it was modified.

*Erase all those that r "CREATED" on & after d time & day d ANTISPY in installed.

*der r 2 items that will not b erased manually

*close them in d task bar & delete them

For those of you suffering from Virtumonde: I tried AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy (an old favorite) AND Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition and they couldn't get rid of it. I was moments away from reformatting my HD when I gave one last shot to Spyware Doctor from PC Tools. It worked. It works.
