  • Esperanto is hardly international, it is obviously heavily influenced by indo-european languages rather than, for example: languages from the orient. The native speakers of European languages will have a much easier time than those from the far east and other places.

  • @thestrangewizard It is true that native speakers of European languages will have an easier time with Esperanto than speakers of non-European languages. However, speakers of non-European languages will have a much easier time with Esperanto than with English, French or German, or any other European language. So for them, Esperanto may only be 4 times easier to learn than English, wherease for a French speaker, it may be 10 times easier to learn English. Still easier.
