hey i dont Bet and shyt can u explain wat it means when u say u expect a team to "Cover" and when u say a team gets points like when u said "the Jest get 6" what does that mean?

For example , you bet on the Jets at +6 . If the Jets win , you win . But if they lose by less then 6 , then you still cover and still win . Or another example , you bet on Dallas -10 . That means the only way you win is if Dallas wins by 10 or more points . You get it now?
