In the case with Celente he know very well how the powers that be control the game. if something he has said did on happen yet, it is because elite have done something to buy more time.

i think there is going to be many of these types of people arising out of the ashes of the econonic collapse who speak this type of rhetoric to try and give themselves some airtime. What they have to do also is make reference to the antichrist and how the antichrist somehow comes up with a solution to all this economic mayhem in 4 years from 2008, but from 09-11, there is going to be bio terrorism because the scientists are even gonna start going broke

Damn, Celente really scares the heck out of me - especially when Celente goes on with the coming crime wave, mexico city reference, violence... And these quotes have stuck in my mind:

"when people lose everything and they have nothing to lose - they lose it..."

"...people are hopeful, they are desperate and they are fearful - and they hang on to everything..."

I don't think he's wrong.

Let's say the US government trashed the stimulus idea, cut massive spending, and lowered taxes giving businesses an incentive to start, expand, and flourish. The US public school systems are today literally competing against nations that can barely keep the lights on. Thats what America's ignorance and oversized beaurocracy has done to the next generation. Like Gerald says, we're a declining nation. Thats true regardless of whether the US plays their cards right.

I've went to his site. He lists his track record. He predicted a third party emerging back in 88--it came true via Ross Perot. About three years early.

This guy and his organization are blunt and honest. He isn't some psychic fraud or Nostradamus wannabe. His statements are based on viable data.

He also said we would lose the Iraq War within like the first year or something. Now, I know the media has pampered the truth about our conditions in Iraq but we never "lost" the war. I like and trust Celente, but you have to look into things yourself.

He didn't say the USA would lose. He said that the USA would achieve a swift victory but that a fierce insurgency would emerge soon following.

I think his predictions about taxpayer riots in Feb. and Mar. are questionable. There have been protests although the Death threats against AIG could be interpreted as revolt. AIG has actually beefed up their security at all their offices but I think their name is ruined since they are renaming themselves AIU. No joke.

Yeah, you're probably right. I didn't read the whole prediction, so I won't get into it, but as smart as I think Celente is, he's not perfect. I think he can exaggerate things a bit. Remember when he said the commercial real estate business would collapse by Feb/March? I know he admitted he was premature(and I give him credit for owning up to it), but still, you can't believe EVERYthing the man says, as accurate as his track record may be.

Meredith Whitney, on CNBC recently, stated in an article she expects credit card defaults to be the next economic storm to hit citing default rates climbing and credit lines being cut which a lot of people live off of. Michael J. Panzner, author of Financial Armageddon and When Giants Fall, also mentioned about commercial real estate (and credit cards) being the next big problems soon. I just finished When Giants Fall and Panzner paints a grim economic picture.
