I don't know if it was meant to be funny, but I think it was the most hilarious game I've seen in a long time. The not-shown 'super duper secret' ending at the start of the game, punching a bird in the face, running into a gate to have it shut in your face, the multiple coloured fighters with various different head deformities/hats. I especially like the purple viking ninja. Comedy gold.

The gate is MUCH easier to pass on the normal versions of the game. You can fake out the gate by edging up to it, then kicking, which will cause it to slam down and miss you. This solution, which is the intended one, does NOT WORK on the nes version, so you have to do what this guy did. stop short while going at a full run from the right distance.

In the version of the game I played, you walk up to the gate and kick, let it come down and immediate run through right as it comes back up.

the version I played also had a final-boss called Akuma, who you had to fight after fighting his pet bird. I actually thought the bird was tougher.
