@SuperAwesomeTiago Well, you're certainly free to have that opinion, and I'm not gonna say "ur rong dood." But, at the very least, I think it's important to note that Unleashed was a bit of an experiment, and actually pioneered the entire structure for Modern Sonic-type levels today.
I WOUld love it more, but the werehog ruined it. THe wii vewsion of the hog sucked, but this game DOES have epic music, and the day levels were awesome.

This song almost makes me want to cry. It's like it's saying "This was the toughest challenge you'll ever face. It's also the most exhilirating. The most nightmare-ish. The most fun. The longest. Ending it will be sad, so make it last."
Well...it lasted for like 2 weeks before I beat Perfect Dark Gaia. But it was probably one of my favorite gaming endings. Not my favorite game. But this game truely has emotion. Other games almost never have it.
Ohhh I love the music in this game! Its so stirring. T^T Even if you don't like the game I fucking DARE YOU to not feel something from this track. Playing as Super Sonic with one of the ultimate feel good songs playing as an orchestral version? I think I got a lady boner. o_o
@BioniKyle It was by far in my opinion the best Sonic game. The daytime levels were totally awesome, and the nighttime levels were a neat mix to the game. I know that they were widely crtizied, but honestly, I thought that they were okay. I mean, a challenge is nice.
@BioniKyle The story was interesting, in my humble opinion. Can you make a better one (that hasn't been made yet)? And I liked the werehog. The music for the levels weren't as good as the daytime ones, and the battle theme was HIGHLY overused, but it was a neat addition to the game that made different than past Sonic games. I mean, then werehog is BEAST (literally).
@whydidimakethis111 I might be able to make a better story...but...that is not the point. Sonic games are not supposed to have a complex story, that's where SEGA went wrong. That's why Colors was awesome, it had a simple story and a lighthearted attitude.
@BioniKyle Colors was okay...but I preferred the fast-paced daytime and action and platforming of nighttime. Also, it was far too linear and far too short. Not enough extra stuff.
The storyline for Sonic Unleashed wasn't that complex. Rundown: Eggman awakens giant beast thing, turns Sonic into werehog at night, Sonic finds imp thing called Chip, together with Tails they travel around the world restoring Chaos Emeralds, defeat Eggman, fight giant beast thing and win.
@whydidimakethis111 I actually agree with you. I think Sonic Unleashed is one of the best Sonic games in my opinion. And screw what people say to me. I LOVED and I mean LOVED the werehog!! The platforming was very nice, and I think the combat is good cause that's part of the werehog's character. What's the point of him being super strong if their isn't a part of his gameplay where he can use it? Also, SONIC BOOST FTW!!!!!!!!!

@radicalcrash No, the downfall of the Sonic series are the gimmicks of each game (the Werehog, gunplay, swordplay), the core elements of it are constantly changed rather than refineing it. And the stories of each are just episodic crap that they slapped together using every single stupid plot device in history, then making sure that they can wrap it up at the end and never see it again. I'd love to see a story-driven Sonic game, but it's just wishful thinking. Sega can't write stories for shit.

But in reality, it's exacty like the old games, down to the frown on Sonic's face. Having played it exactly 155 times on three seperate copies and hunted down all medals at least once on both 360 and PS3, I know there are no glitches or bad controls, and CERTAINY not a bad story. And now? We have colors and generations. -_- Not cool.

@SkyHighHero It had 2. The story was only written like that because of the planned follow-up. But then the out-of-control backlash came and they were forced to change courses terribly. Also, the game doesn't conflict with Rush (which is only a non-cannon spin-off, by the way, like the Storybooks). In fact, it explains how she got there, too. Sonic and Blaze are never wel-acquainted, so it makes sense they wouldn't recognize each other...

A game having glitches is not based on opinion whatsoever. Google any gameplay video of '06 and tell if you'll find any that doesn't have glitches within the first 2-3 minutes of gameplay.

It's about an ANIME FURRY blue hedgehog with SUPER POWERS fighting an EVIL GENIUS and his army of DEADLY ROBOTS to SACE THE WORLD. That's not exactly funnybusiness. Hell, even the Genesis games were dark with their sinister music and serious overtones.

@JohtochampDS100 No. The Genesis games were a lot more fun then colors because they didn't go by so fast, and they had dark stories. The games were about Eggman turning animals into kiler robots while he constructed a space station of death. The story was 4 whoe games long. That and the Genesis games were actually fun. Coors has bad leve design and it's not in full 3D. The game plays itself too much. And there's not even any QTEs. You just press one button over and over.

The only problems with 06's controls are the dash panels temporarily locking you into a straight, forward sprintand that Sonic doesn't ever stop moving forward in the air. These are easy to work with and by far aren't the travest they've been made out to be.

@Carr1996gamer ...just making it up. It really is this simple to me. I just sit down and play the game and appreciate it. I don't know how to make it any clearer. It truy is as simple as aiming the analog stick in the direction you want your character to go. And I have no hangups.

The music for the levels weren't as good as the daytime ones, and the battle theme was HIGHLY overused, but it was a neat addition to the game that made different than past Sonic games. I mean, then werehog is BEAST (literally).

@BioniKyle Colors was okay...but I preferred the fast-paced daytime and action and platforming of nighttime. Also, it was far too linear and far too short. Not enough extra stuff.
The storyline for Sonic Unleashed wasn't that complex. Rundown: Eggman awakens giant beast thing, turns Sonic into werehog at night, Sonic finds imp thing called Chip, together with Tails they travel around the world restoring Chaos Emeralds, defeat Eggman, fight giant beast thing and win.

And the stories of each are just episodic crap that they slapped together using every single stupid plot device in history, then making sure that they can wrap it up at the end and never see it again. I'd love to see a story-driven Sonic game, but it's just wishful thinking. Sega can't write stories for shit.

The only problems with 06's controls are the dash panels temporarily locking you into a straight, forward sprintand that Sonic doesn't ever stop moving forward in the air. These are easy to work with and by far aren't the travest they've been made out to be.

@Carr1996gamer No problem. This whole Sonic thing ever since Adventure came out in 1998 has been really ridiculous, on every side. I admit to being ridicuous about it as well. People take Sonic so ridiculously seriously. So, it's mature of you to NOT take it so seriously. Everyone can be self-righteous at times, but even if you were, it's still miles better then being obssessed with Sonic games.

@Carr1996gamer I did have to play the game a first time to play it at all. I've never had any of the problems everyone accuses 3D Sonics of having with any of them.

@Carr1996gamer ...just making it up. It really is this simple to me. I just sit down and play the game and appreciate it. I don't know how to make it any clearer. It truy is as simple as aiming the analog stick in the direction you want your character to go. And I have no hangups.
A tad stressed, yeah. But unfortunately, it's not my secret to tell because it's something that isn't happening to me personally. Thanks, though. :)

@TheFlameandice2401 Thank you, but I was talking about the Adventures. I'm firmly against colors, actually. Colors gives me a head and heartache. Almost like someone brutally butchered my child. I don't think it's even Sonic.
Although, at least it had a good enough final boss theme. Reach for the Stars isn't much to go on.
