I hate this kind of shit. Don't get me wrong, I love traditional Uyghur music with dutar and stuff, but this song doesn't sound uyghur at all, it sounds turkish! I like turks but I think that Uygurs should keep their particularites (like dutars) and incorporate this into modern stuff. This makes me sad actually.
xinjiang is so prosperous for the Chinks, but we don't get to enjoy the prosperities of our own land, b/c we are constantly suppressed in every way possible, no human rights, no religious freedom, and how can you even live without being free i can't imagine. I'd rather die.
I am uyghur. and I for one cant complain too much other than the racism that goes on there and here online. If we were to gain independence from china it will be through our developing our own high profit business, and through diplomatic and economical means, not through burning buildings and starting riots.
well diplomatic and economical means aren't going so well right now are they?? if you think those pigs are up for a little diplomacy your completely wrong.... say that shit all the uyghurs who have lost their lives
The chinese boast so much about the development in Urumqi but all the economic wealth and luxuriy are enjoyed by the Han Chinese. It also happens in Lakhsa in Tibet. Many Chinese just simply deny the fact. Why are the koreans in north-east China happy? Because they enjoy a high standard of living almost like the South Koreans.
Very heuristic point! Why koreans of China so wealthy? Independence isn't guarantee of wealth.Population of former Soviet republics is very poor.Only corrupted establishment enjoing it. My brothers don't waste lives of so beautiful uighur youth! Uprising is suicidal for nation. Education, possible cultural revaluation of irrational behavior.Among all turks we bashkirs shed most blood in past, but independence received nations, most of them never dreamed about it. Wait your fortune...
nice! just yesterday I attended a Uyghur music festival in Yuasa, Japan. I have to classmates from Uyghur and they invited me. I may upload some videos from the festival.

@royzizzle : Late answer but I'd like to say that sometimes, there's no other way than violence.
