Canada is a bad example because there is no such thing as "ethnic Canadian". Canada is country of immigrants, Ukraine is not. She herself identifies as an ethnic Jew as do other 100,000 Jews in Ukraine. In the census they put themselves down as Jewish not Ukrainian, because we are completely different ethnic groups.
