i used to only play with a control stick and i could pull off some pretty intense falcon combos and even now i use it for spacing. but now i probably use them equally as much and i still play the same as before.

That's not actually training mode or a CPU. Rayz really makes his opponent look like he's standing still. Because he's fast with his control stick.
