As you denounce the link of the Queen to our Prophet, you should hold that same concept with the Saudi families royal link to the land of or Noble Prophet (s). @uhclem The government is "us" in the fact that the majority allows them to act in the ways that they do. Watch any GOP debate, and you can see people cheering when a candidate mentions blowing up Iran (watch?v=QfO_VRyZeug).
But you definitely have a legitimate concern, and it can be strongly argued that the majority is rather easily manipulated to sanction what the government does.

He's not saying Al Qaeda doesn't exist. He's saying the U.S. perception that Al Qaeda only attacks us because we like personal freedom and have womens' rights is wrong - that perceived version of Al Qaeda doesn't exist. He then goes on to say how over-support of Israel, as well as support of both dictators and promoting democracy (there's a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' argument) are what helps spread Islamic extremism. He didn't mention us bombing the k-rap out of them, though.
