  • fucking weird trailer dialog

  • "4 honorable men.....................and johnny"

  • Holy crap...is that Jimmy Fallon at 16 seconds??? Whats he doin in this old flick??

  • stepping out by cream!

  • great movie. Haven't seen in years!

  • what's the name of the song playing at 1:26 ?

  • this trailer does this movie no justice.

  • whats the first song that comes up

  • @CanoliKing Cream - Steppin' Out (version from "Live Cream II")

  • So that's what Harvey Keitel looks like when he was young.

  • Trailers back in the day were insanely long

  • Why, hello 240p.

  • I was watching the trailer for this on the DVD this morning, and the dubbing at 2:19 is really odd: it almost sounds like "You're the only _Vergnersh_ around here..." Obviously it's not the original "jerk-off" line, but what were they trying to dub in? I've listened to it several times and just can't decipher it.

  • I'm sooo looking forward to watching this. I just finished watching another Martin Scorsese film, "Goodfellas". A lot of the reviews i read on that compared it to Mean Streets which seems really great for its time

  • I can't believe people like this movie. The storyline was crap and you sit trough the whole movie waiting for it to become good.

  • @dalladeien well you're just a kid, many people said that about the godfather, if you knew wiseguys then this would make sense

  • @dalladeien fucking kids. how old are you? Go watch fucking Transformers or some shit. You don't know what a good movie is.

  • @StupidFuckingTrolls The fact you just trying to insult me and not tell me why I should like this movie makes you the little kid here. I watched the whole movie, the guy taking insults and trying to help his idiot friend the whole movie I found straight frustrating and boring. For example when the Charlies girlfriend have a appelepsi and Johnny just walks away. The movie is about in my idea a guy trying to help all his friends? It had lack of character and sucked, and I don't like Transfromers.

  • @dalladeien you have to be able to sympathize or empathize with the characters

  • At 0:13 it's Richie Aprille! hahaha sweet

  • @runningbroproduction David Proval (Micheal) was also on the Sopranos. He was the shrinks ex-husband.

  • @rjplamf61 Oh yea!! cool!

  • It said honorable men 8 times! hahaha

  • What was the song in the beginning of the trailer? Sounds familiar.

  • could someone please tell me the actors name who speaks at 1:30 thanks

  • Jeezzz...why didn't they just call it "Honorable Men" already!

  • Who was that fat guy in the pool hall?? I've seen him in other things. What was he in?. Yeah I don't like Mean Streets as much as I do other Scorcese films. There seems to be no plot to it. It's good but not as good as Goodfellas, Casino, or Gangs of New York...or the Aviator...maybe that's an unfair comparison. Just saying Mean Streets was good but not one of his best. I grew up in New York in the '80s and so I like seeing films shot in NY from the '70s and '80s. It's nostalgic for me...

  • @XxowendanxX

ye mean streets is the type of movie you appreciate 30 years later...

even tho its not that good, the movies out today are shit in comparison. it has an artistic flow and grace that scorsese captures in all of his movies.

  • @greekboy2k

First, calm down. This is fucking youtube I am not standing in front of you, by using capslock you are only making yourself look stupid. Second, ofcourse the real mafia are money wanting pricks, your totally right about that. They are fuck ups, but the family itself isn't a mere street gang, they are orginized crime, and the people ruling it arent like the crips or anything like it. You get what I mean? I agree with you, I purely mean that the leaders are a bit more stylish.

  • @greekboy2k

You already show that you know nothing of mafia. A street gang? Mafia were criminals with alteast some style. Not like the gangs walking the streets.

  • the trailer's crappy they make this look kinda like a buddy movie.

  • @greekboy2k

these guys are not mafia they're just a small time street gang

    and this movie was awsome

    now go suck a dick

  • "honorable men!"

  • So do you think they want us to think they're honorable men?

  • LOL this is one of the worst trailers I have seen (honorable men, honorable men, honorable men...and JOHNNY BOY!). Not sure if I want to laugh or get irritated. That said, it is an amazing movie though. Scorsese is truly an artist.

  • @Alexinytown I agree. This trailer does the film very little justice.

  • Richie Aprile was here :D .

  • 1:20 MR BEAN!

  • As much as I love De Niro, I think Harvey Keitel may be the better actor. Keitel is lights out in anything he's in, especially his performances in Mean Streets, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Taxi Driver, and Reservoir Dogs.

  • @0:19 love it when they do it!

much classier than the middle finger..

  • epic movie

  • I love this movie with a passion, with a vengance!

  • @Paperbagman555 its great! and whoe cares how many he has they are all soo good! :D

  • LOVE this movie.. my fav hands down

  • 4 honourable men...and johnny boy - Fist pump!*

  • this has got to be one of the worst trailers ever made. but the movie is great!!

  • The Movie should've been called Honorable Men

  • @JasonsEvilMind

did u include Gangs of New York in that list?

  • @deiiii Yes I did? Why? If you are thinking that it wasn't correct for me to include it because it has Gang(s) in the title, then I kind of see what you mean. However, just because it has Gang(s) in the title, that doesn't make it a gangSTER film. If anything Gangs of New York is a drama. Anyway, I'm not quite sure what kind of a response you were looking for, but I hope that helped. Sorry if I misunderstood your question.

  • @JasonsEvilMind This is true, though you gotta admit. Some-a those films have Mafioso affiliation in them also! huh, huh? ehh.. Fahget about it!

  • @JasonsEvilMind But he's best known by mane for his gangster joints. Gangs of New York is not of the gangster genre? Hmm.

  • @JimmyJones I hate to disagree, but Scorsese is most well known for Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Goodfellas. Those are his clear masterpieces alongside a consistently great body of work. Only one of those is a gangster film. Most people will tell you that Raging Bull is his best film. Again, not a gangster film. As for Gangs of New York. Marty said something like "They are gangs, but not gangsters the way we perceive them today." I don't think Marty views Gangs as a gangster film. Neither do I.

  • @JasonsEvilMind My dumb-ass friends keep telling me De Niro is one dimensional, it drives me crazy!

  • @ghostwhisper666 Well, your friend is certainly a dumbass. On that we are agreed. Robert De Niro is one of the greatest actors in the history of cinema. The last ten years haven't been too kind to him, but his 70's, 80's and 90's work makes him one of the all time greats. His performance in Raging Bull is arguably the greatest male performance of all time. I think it's clearly the best of the 80's. Although, John Hurt in The Elephant Man and F. Murray Abraham in Amadeus are close.

  • @JasonsEvilMind

    sorry but ummmm

gangs of new york is not a gangster flick? the damn movie al about how gangs started?

raging bull maybe most of the time about boxing but there also is the mob aspect in the movie. ithink its because he italian himself and grew up amongst it.

look at olliver stone he loves to make movies about vietnam or spielberg because hes jewish about the second world war

  • r they italian! yusssss

  • WHATSA MOOK!?

  • i got the film on DVD and I though the wow. I gotta see it again.

  • 5 Johnny's

  • The happiest fucking ending ever in a movie! I waited the whole movie for douchebag Jonnieboy to get it...ahhhh....satisfying.

  • scorsese's first masterpiece.

  • De Niros best..and how cool is it that we were introduced to him when he blew up the mailbox..classic..you no mook to me johhny boy ! !

  • what kind of clothes was Charlie wearing in the end scenes

  • What kind of clothes was tonys suit from in in the end scene's

  • Gayest mob movie EVER made...too bad Robert de Niro played in it...

  • First 4 seconds, you see those streets, i dont know but theres something so cool about them, and the breath vapor coming out there mouths and there detective jackets.

  • Man i just love both De Nero and Pacino when it comes to their acting and performances theyre botth great!!! each with their own unique style of acting. I need to watch this film :D

  • @01thrilla Al Pacino is not in this film, though. It stars Robert de Niro and Harvey Keital, plus Amy Robinson.

  • im watchin this movie everyday lol its addictive

  • This movie looks good. Authentic 70s appareal allso. When is it out?

  • @patsyd80 oh, like 30 years ago...

  • @StopIllegalAliens01 Ya dont say. I wonder why people call Americans stupid?

  • @patsyd80 well..... Mostly because their countries are inferior and living conditions suck.... a la england

  • @patsyd80 It's been out since 1973!!!!

  • @mikepriori1 not another dumb ass. why do americans not get sarcasim? for the last time I KNOW.

  • @patsyd80 Funny. Another foreigner bashing America on an American web site while admiring the trailer of an American film. By the way, isn't America (as well as Russia) the reason you aren't speaking German?

  • @patsyd80 lol

70s appareal is cause its from 70s XD

  • @Mihalj69 How dumb can u be? after leaving that comment as a joke I thought no one could be so stupid to reply. But what makes u extra stupid is your the 3rd person to comment after I already said to two other guys that it was an ironic JOKE. But you Americans have a hard time understandingirony and sarcasim.

  • @patsyd80 lol I'm not American, as for jokes, you could have done better. or not really

  • @patsyd80 You seem to have a hard time understanding that the actions of three people do not equate to a statement on the intellect of three hundred million people.

  • @Thegoat152 Sorry freind. I wasjust talking shit on yt as we do. I got nothing against the Americans at all, in fact I think their great. Just that you do get some dumb ass ones on yt at times. Like 3 of them who think I dont know this is a 70s movie because I made a joke. Maybe its a case of diffrent sense of humour. I dont know if you read my 1st comment and then the relplys?. Maybe you got it I dont know. Anyway god bless America and greetings from London.

  • @patsyd80 i just cant forgive them for george w bush unforgivable

  • @patsyd80 I can't disagree there dumbasses are always the most vocal especially on youtube.

  • + once upon a time in america

  • the doberman gang..........

  • Martin Scorsese #1, end of story

  • Comment removed

  • @JasonsEvilMind If you were the biggest Scorsese fan ever you wouldn't put any directors over him.

  • Comment removed

  • @JasonsEvilMind Congratulations on how much you know.

  • Comment removed

  • @JasonsEvilMind Yes, I'm talking about Dicaprio. He's the most overrated thing in Hollywood. As far as appreciating good acting goes, I'm an actor for a living, so I'm going to be cocky and say I know it when I see it. Cameron Diaz in "Gangs of New York? Jesus Christ. Daniel Day-Lewis is possibly the greatest film actor of his generation, and seeing him and DiCaprio together was the textbook definition of mixed feelings, like watching your mother in law back off a cliff in your new Mercedes.

  • Comment removed

  • @JasonsEvilMind Well, we'll have to agree to disagree. I think DiCaprio's performances are cringeworthy, and I can't for the life of me imagine what directors see in him. I do mostly film and TV but occasionally stage, too, when there's time for it. I'm not inclined to say more 'cause I quite enjoy my anonymity on YouTube.

  • Comment removed

  • @Salguine daniel day lewis IS my favorite actor, but i wouldnt go as far a calling dicaprio overrated tho

  • @manguap I would! And what's more, I have! Here!

  • @JasonsEvilMind I have a satisfying knowledge of his career, life and entire back catalogue that I feel no need to be smug about, I don't care how much you know and it doesn't matter. his biggest fan prefers no one else. Note: I equally love Cronenberg and the Coen brothers so I'm not claiming to be his biggest fan.

  • Comment removed

  • @JasonsEvilMind It's not about agreeing or disagreeing, you're just wrong. I know you said don't reply, but that just doesn't work now does it?

  • @MillerCrosses He's brilliant but he's not infallible. he makes some bad casting choices.

  • @Salguine okay

  • WTF onedable men onedable men

  • what movie came first for Harvey Keital Mean streets or Taxi!

  • Comment removed

  • @JasonsEvilMind thanks for clearing that up! I'll definitely check your suggestions

I grew up on black and white movies as a kid in the 60's all we could afford was a 20 inch black and white. I miss those days.....

  • Richard Romanus as Michael and David Proval as Tony. Those two actors were also in Wizards and Hey Good Lookin' by Ralph Bakshi. All that aside, I really want to see this movie.

  • i watched first time half year ago and I didn't liked it. I watched it today again with different expectations. I took a attention to characters and I really liked it.

  • really good movie, i loved it...finally watched it yesterday, i don't know wtf took me so long, its only been out since '73.....

  • forget casino. this is a great film. this is my favorite of all of scorsese's films. i also like goodfellas. starting with cape fear and since marty lost it or threw it all away...either way it is gone. this is when he was the real deal. this is raw and intense.

  • Better than Taxi driver? that's probably my favourite.

  • better? well, that is a critical assessment based upon logic. favorite is more of a matter of emotion/personal tastes. for my personal tastes, mean streets is my favorite. i don't think of taxi driver as being a gangster/mafia film. it is a great, classic film; as is mean streets. thanks for the reply.

  • to make a mob movie right after the godfather took a lot of bravery but it definetely paid off

  • im about to watch this, i hope it was worth it, as its literally the last mob film ive gotta watch

  • @Exesta it was one of the last i watched aswell but i still think its awesome

  • i watched it last night, i didn't enjoy it at all, infact i fell asleep i got that board, its the only highly rated movie in that genre i haven't loved.

  • @Exesta well i cant say i agree but hey if thats your opinion

  • i just didn't connect to it, i got really bored, and it was just a bunch of young men kind of hanging around talking rubbish, im from the UK so i may of failed to connect to the american/italian style, but in all the other films i understand fully.

  • is this movie worth 2 buy?

  • @matthewinnj08 this was a great film but it depends what your standards of great are,, i would say good fellas is DEFFINITLY worth buying now that is a great movie!!

  • if you liked goodfellas you gotta see martins film Casino. Got robert and joe in it too

  • comments. what is this little area called, perhaps, "The Comment Board?" Whatever it is called, it's a joke. Every vid you go to on youtube, for the most part. once in a great while a vid will be outstanding enough but then, someone will have to talk smack.' monkies. just a monkey. Shad Ebinger. another monkey like you

  • Great film...terrible trailer.

  • 2:19 WTF LOL jerkoff in reverse

  • one of the best movies i have ever seen. def in my top 5 list and guess what. out of 5 movies, 4 of them are by martin scorsese.

  • "i could have made this trailer on paint..."
