  • Hahaha! Just awesome!

  • awesome song! love it and understand it completely !

  • I just quit my waitressing job!!! YEAH!

  • great job

  • you are the customer service goddess...i bow to you! thank you for the anthem that will help me through everyday, even if ti not my last day.

  • I love you.

  • your my new role model.

  • i can't wait for the day i can finally tell them to fuck off too!! congrats i just sent that to everyone i know!!!

  • @Vallan14213 Ah thank you so much! I would be thrilled if you shared it with other servers- they're the only ones who truly understand. And 35 years?! You deserve a medal.

  • You have inspired me to search harder than ever for a new job. working as a customer service representative, i feel the same as you do - congrats on quitting the hell hole!

  • @onegirlshuakai Every time I think about going back to working with the public, I play this song. Your comment truly made me happy. It was indeed a hell hole, and I can only image what customer service is like ::shudder:: I hope you're at least on the phone so you can make nasty faces.

  • @adellethegreat good for you! and unfortunately, I work at a gas station

  • YOU GO GIRL

  • YES fork in your eye lol I know that feeling

  • She should put this on iTunes, I'd support. Need a lawyer though my friend is a great artist who put his stuff on iTunes n he got screwed out of all his dues cause they gave him a bogus contract. N you can much easier sue a lawyer for malpractice than you can for signing a bad contract. Excellent song and oh so true, mad props.

  • @wankster06469 Mad props are my favorite kind ;) Thanks!

  • I sincerely loved this.

  • Very clever. Very funny. I have been a server for several years so I can also relate. You forgot to add a verse in the song that included each member of a party asking you for a different item each time you returned with an item that someone else in their party ordered. Lol!

What are you doing now since that was your last day?

  • fuck you

  • I absolutely love this. Your lyrics are very clever and humorous (and true!) while your playing is flawless as well. You have a very nice sounding uke!

  • hahahaha friggin brilliant. glad you kept at it with the music, i'm diggin' it. is there anywhere i can buy a CD or mp3s or anything like that?

  • I love it!

  • Can I tell you that I am INCREDIBLY amused that I sent this to my mother (a waitress at Cracker Barrel currently) and she commented? I love my parents. Well, you already know I love my mother given we've discussed it. :P But yes, this does rather back up the claim, doesn't it?

Thank you for spreading the love some more in my family! <3

  • lol

  • David Sedaris wrote something about a "service industry smile" once...lol

  • I just WISH it were my last day : ). Thanks for the song! Kiwi's mom

  • LUV IT!!! P.S. Im a waitress and I just quit my Job today! and I can relate to everything you say in this RIGHT ON!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Really cute, although I think super-glue on their chairs would have also made the point. Red paint instead of ketchup. Donuts that you've put little toy robots in so they will walk away from the customers. An over-sized meat grinder with a sign above and an arrow pointing down saying "Whiny Brats". Lots of potential possibilities there.

  • OMG, you're so eeeeevil! LOL! :-P

  • That was SO COOL!

  • Brillaint! BRAVA GIRL!

  • nice woman singer i like you...

  • This is a great song! Too funny (and damn true!)

  • Adelle...every time I watch this, I like it more and find something out to make me laugh some more. Your Mainland sounds great ! (O_o)

  • I spent over 30 years running kitchens. People wait tables for different reasons, some because they actually like people and can put up with the jackasses because of the ones that make it worthwhile to be at work. Some of the most decent kids I know are career restaurant & it is a career, get it through your heads. This one (ATG) lasted 10 years at it.

  • Dere now you made me laugh great song.

  • You are the best! Evertime I think about going back to the HOP I just listen to this. WHy are people assholes? There should be class in how to treat people that wait on you. Like parenting classes.

  • I -LOVE- this! LOL I need to find a song like this for the retail ppl.

Thank you for sharing your talent and your lovely smooth voice! It's like buttah.

  • I LOVE IT! and Bubblesinthebathtub1 needs to learn to cook and not eat out.

    SERVERS UNITE!

  • LMAO. This is fantastic.

  • TIPS - "To insure perfect(prompt) service" are supposed to be "extra" for exceptional service. The mistake is when restaurants are so cheap that they won't pay a full wage. Most people that do non-service jobs don't get tips for "just doing their job", but might get extra for going the extra mile. Why are tips "pooled" if it just goes to a common pot? Sounds like socialism. Where is the incentive to excel? And.......

What's up with fast food restaurants (Dunkin Donuts) having tip jars?

  • you're a dumbass, and a cheap one. Most non-service people aren't handling my fucking food.

  • I guess the guy that fixes your car(bike) doesn't deserve the "respect" that you do. Don't worry about whether your brakes work. Your job is much more important. Get real. I'd worry lots more of the kitchen staff, and whether the dished are clean, than the server's delivery of the meal. Why don't the dishwashers and the food preparers get tips? Maybe we could add that in to the check too? It's your system, not mine. Don't ever blame the customer....without them, you don't have a job.

  • Oh, I forgot. Does your restaurant tip the sales people and delivery people that deliver to your restaurant? Why not? Don't they deserve to supplement their income too?

  • no, they get an hourly wage? what are you some kind of anti-service industry spokesman? Or just a cheap bastard?

  • This song wasn't about tipping. I only mentioned it once at the end referencing old men that leave you a dime for bringing them coffee for 4 hours, the whole time leering at your ass.

The song was about assholes that for some reason think that just because we're in a position of service, that gives them the right to be impatient & rude. If you don't wanna tip- fine... just be nice & treat your server like a human being. That was the point of this song.

  • @adellethegreat It's a fine restaurant that let's you bring your ass to work so it doesn't have to stay home by itself.

  • don'tyouremember"Mr Pink"got caughtattheendinReseviorDogcausehewasacheapbastardwhodidntbelieveintippinghmmmm???

  • Wow... my friend at work told me about this and it was everything I expected it to be.

    FANTASTIC JOB!!!

    TIP WELL for good service!

  • Servers only make half of minimum wage & are expected to make up the other half in tips. If there was no tipping system, the cost of your meal would be significantly higher to compensate the employer for wages he's paying out. I'm confident it would increase your bill more than simply leaving even a decent tip would.

  • That's not true everywhere. In Oregon waitstaff are paid the current minimum wage ($8.40 hour) and any tips are on top of that. It's against the law to pay waitstaff less than minimum wage in Oregon.

  • Wow! I had no idea!

If I'm ever have to go back to it, I'll be sure to do it in Oregon.

  • @bubblesinthebathtub1 Plain and simple, you are a cheap piece of shit!

  • @bubblesinthebathtub1 piece of cheap @#$%

  • @bubblesinthebathtub1

    Are you fucking stupid?

I'm pretty sure about 3/4 of the waiters/waitresses out there hate their jobs. If all of those people took your dumb advice, you'd have a slim chance of being waited on.

3 years ago, when I waitressed - You were the type of person that I remembered very well the next time coming in. And that's all I'll say about that. ; ]

If you're really as ignorant as you make yourself out to be, my suggestion to you is to not eat out...

  • @bubblesinthebathtub1:

"If you so hate your job why not get some training and do something else??"

That might be the reason she quit, Dumbass. I wait tables to put myself through college as are most of my coworkers. Believe me, we'd ALL like better jobs. If it were that simple, you'd have nobody to kiss your ass and feed you when you're too lazy to cook for yourself cause we'd all be working at someplace better. Unfortunately, I can't speed time so til then, I'm waiting tables. Suck it.

  • Nice!

  • EPIC. Glad I found my way here! Fukin love it! ***** ~ Raz

  • Sunday is my last day at my breakfast serving job of almost two years. This song is bloody blissfull. I should download it and crank it as I walk out the door.

  • HAHA! I wanted to do so many of those things on my last day...LOL

  • Loved it. I remember my last day at my last job...and this echoes my sentiments exactly. And I may or may not have told someone to f. off. Great!

  • damn good. me friend be a waiter, methinks he would love this.

  • I promise a 25% tip, please don't spit in my food!

  • This has made me laugh, I love your sense of humour! X

  • Wow! I like this song! sound´s great!!

  • LOL Perfect.

  • Bloody brilliant! Love your style. Well done!

  • So awesome! I hope you have found a good new career! I worked in restaurants for years, and I know how you feel. I loved it and I hated it, but I got to meet lots of prople like you and for that reason I will always miss it a little.

  • Watching again. Such brilliant delivery.

  • Love this, I am a bartender and the kids who have never worked service don't realize we get paid less then minimum wage and tips are how we earn our living. And leaving me $2.00 on a $100 tab does not make you my friend (especially after being a needy emo kid all night!) I love the line that starts "it's not a seceret government plot!"

  • @bubblesinthebathtub1 Actually, It IS the customers' part to support their server. Obviously, you have never waited tables. Servers do not even make minimum wage in most states. My mother raised my brother and me by herself working as a waitress. Just have some compassion, please. Waitresses/waiters are only asking for respect and at least a 15% tip. Maybe you are not aware that they must report 8% of their sales to the IRS so they can be taxed on it. If you don't want to tip, eat fast food.

  • as a fellow past server I am LMFAO!!! my fav line "I hope you know that diet coke doesn't counteract burgers and fries" :)

  • It sounds like you are really mourning your decision on this.... :-)

  • Awesome song!! I worked in a bunch of donut stores many years ago and also Walgreens drug store before I got into electronics and was able to hide from the public. So I have never served food (unless you consider a donut food) but have had experience with customers who seem to think just because you work for the place they are in gives them the right to treat you like crap. It does not and you do a great job of showing what an ass these people look like from the other side.

  • Thank you for the post... i have been a server for the last 10+ and I f..in hate it... I am working towards my last day as well soon... thanks for the song... it should be our athem...thanks for the motivation to get out!!!

  • Oh yeah, I know what you're singing about. I worked as a waiter about 25 years a go and quit after half a year.

    Awesome song!

  • I WISH it were my last day as a waitress. Something happens to people when they walk inside a restaurant. They become paranoid bastards who think that you're just out to get them with cold fries or whatnot.

  • excellent....

  • I need to play this one for everyone I know- it's just awesome!

  • Wonderful, my mom quit for good last month after waiting for 30 years.

Glad she doesn't have to put up with all the B.S. anymore.

  • I love you! You have totally described my restaurant. I wish it was my last day...only 22 months left to go.

  • What is today's special? :-)

  • Hmm you left out bosses, must've had a decent one.

  • Great song! I'm going to tip less, but I now know how to be a sensitive person with my waitress. Wouldn't want to catch her on her last day! Besides, I like being a nice person.

I almost always leave a 20% tip, more on smaller orders. Now I'm going to coddle my waitress even more, but am going to compensate my efforts. Every body wins!

  • Great song! I'm going to tip less, but I now know how to be a sensitive person with my waitress. Wouldn't want to catch her on her lats day!

  • Seriously great! LMAO

    Found you through Narciso's Channel

    *****

  • Only a few more days baby! This song cracks me up every time I listen to it :)

  • Congratulations on quitting your job Adelle!! So... what's next?? I loved the song. I know exactly how you feel. After having worked as a waitress for four years a while ago, I could totally relate to a lot of that song. Good luck with your future plans! And congrats on the 100th video too!

  • Heck Yeah my friend will lve this she is a waitress heheheh great tunage

  • Magic as always! Your own personal liberation! Way to go Adelle!

  • I like it! Did you pour coffee in anybodies lap? Later!

  • LMAO. Well congrats for getting away from something you dislike. I hope you find something awesome!

  • wow lol this is tim i worked with you

  • Awesome song!

  • WOW.

    What sweet release

    Adelle, you the bestest

  • Awesome song Adelle, glad you let your frustration out !

  • Ha - this ROCKS! I only lasted about a month as a waitress - for all the reasons you sang about, LOL! Good for you Adelle - good luck with your next adventure! :)

  • I've been a waitress a few years also... This song is just exactly what we waitresses all felt I guess! Amazing lyrics hun :)

  • Very good! Very funny... Can I get a refill? :)

  • I'll have a coffee and a glass of water and please... hurry up!!! ;o)) Brilliant!

  • HAHA!! This is great! Love the little talking bits. I was a a waiter for way too many years, so I'm gettin' it! And I'd just like to apologize now, in advance, in case I ever make you mad some day. ;) haha. Cheers.

  • LOL You told me I would like it....I love it... easy to see how excited you are...I'm proud of you....Good job :-)

  • Congratulations on a real "from the heart" original and on the #100 milestone! Could almost picture you with a fork in your hand (and perhaps a slight facial tic), saying "Excuse me, please" for the third time, trying to set a table that you just cleaned for these people who managed to find the only dirty table in your section! I am envious of your "yogi-like" self control, allowing these people to live another day! Planning a sequel on dealing with the kitchen?

    PS: Loved the tags, too!

  • Great song.

I never understand why people are so horrid to the people who bring them there food, I can't think of anyone I want to treat nicer!

  • That was fantastic. Ha ha. So true. Congrats on a brilliant song :)

  • Perfect Adelle. Absolutely perfect.

  • I know someone who would get a real kick out of this song. Shame she's without sound (or was, last I heard)... :(

  • Believe me, she could write a new song everyday about her experiences....and I'd never get tired of them.

  • Wow! The best songs come from the heart. This one had me laughing out loud. LOL, i guess! Agree with 5417: 0:59 ftw!

Congrats on leaving and No. 100!! WHOOT!

  • haha awesome song adelle!!! its been faved........great part with the fork in the eye!!!! lol

*tip your waitress/waiters good!!!* lol =)

  • Awesome! I think this song sentiment can easily transfer to any job that deals with people. I can totally relate. Good luck with the future!

  • Congrats, and good luck with the next career!! Loved the humor in the song, hysterical!

  • This is your best song ever Adelle. Congratulations on leaving your shitty job.

  • This is hilarious- been there done that, never said it but felt it many times !!

As well as being a really funny song, and congrats on no.100 btw- this is soo well performed, the speaking bits are perfectly timed :) Yay for freedom !!

  • What? Diet Coke doesn't counteract burger and fries?

    Sh1t!!!

What a brilliantly funny and (obviously) heartfelt song.

    Hurrah!!!!

cinq etoiles (to go with the dressing)

    and faved

  • You really give us an insight into the horrors of waitressing, Adelle. I am really pleased that you have managed to escape.

  • Absolutely the best.

Don't know what your plans are, but ukulele goddess should be in the "current" section of your resume. You so nailed this. 0:59 should be framed. Faved instead.

  • Great Job Adelle! So any ideas on where to go next?

  • Hooray for Delly Dell! I think everyone should be forced to serve for a week. Then they'd realize that their extra napkin isn't so farking important.

  • great song!

  • OMFG this is perfect, thank you!

  • Adelle, way to go! Wonderful, song - lots of emotion!

  • Congratulations...

But does this song come with free refills?

  • Wow abd that is why I am always very cordial to waitresses, waiters and cashiers. You never know when their last day might be. That was insightful, thoughtful and just plain old funny as hell. But I think that you're wrong about diet coke, well at least coke zero. I think that doctors have determined that it DOES couneract burgers and fries. LOL !!!!! Otherwise I'm getting fat! Oh crap I am getting fat!

  • What took you so long to quit? That was good! I know what your saying, I always tip good but most people are cheap, mostly the old timers with the caddys and lincolns who realize "oh I can't take it with me, I better buy a big car and block the road" ha ha ha!

  • Ha ha! This is great. Fived and faved. Congratulations.

  • I laughed a lot watching this, good for you for quitting.

  • This is probably my favorite, Adelle. You channeled your rage beautifully, and captured what it is like to work in food service perfectly. It brought back memories. Congrats on your freedom. Congrats on your 100th. Congrats on such a great song.

  • LMFAO, so goood I had to listen to it again. I've never worked as a waitress but I have been a manager in retail for a Looong time, i've dealt with my fair share of morons

  • Adelle rage! What's not to love?

I've deserved my share of eye forks... but then again, I've been on that side of the apron too... I'm not a people person.

I LOVE (all caps) this song!

  • OMG! I was in food service for 20+ years and 14 of them at Waffle House.... The tales I could tell1 And I actually did tell a customer to fuck off on my last day!.... Awesome song, I can soooooooo relate to it!

  • Wonderful! Did you stand next to the "please seat yourself" sign just before your shift and sing this?

  • nice,But I need a Job LOL

  • i'd love a fork in the eye! and some grey poupon please.

angry adelle is the best kind! 5*****

  • Great song and congrats on a good decision! I was there with Justin when you announced the two weeks notice and we were both very happy for you. Bet the customers gonna miss you though...

  • hahahahaha wow i can feel the passive aggression all the way in michigan.

this was definitely an inspired piece, and quite passionate. i like. i also like that you're done with waitressing, haha

  • I think every waiter/waitress has felt these very thoughts. Awesome Adelle. Congrats on your 100th video!!!!

  • Time to go on tour!

  • Yea!! Good for you and good luck with your future plans....uke bitch on a cruise boat? j/k

  • Well I see that years of serving have not made you bitter and twisted. I hope you got all your wishes - including forking someone in the eye. Not sweet - but understandable

    Nice song too

  • haha great lyrics. top job delly :)

  • Congratulations with a 20% tip!
