@AmericanBadass44 Most of the law's provisions are already in effect: insurance co's may not cancel someone's existing health insurance coverage AFTER they become sick, children cannot be denied insurance coverage because of a pre-existing condition (and come 2014, nobody will), and 85% of insurance companies' revenue (i.e.--what they make from customer premiums) must go to paying claims (not salaries). People aren't going to say "sure, let's get rid of all this and go back to the old way."

Young adult under 26 works 30 hrs/wk while going to college full-time 20 units a quarter. Graduates, works part-time still looking for full time work gets substandard healthcare paying an arm and a leg. Same student gets married, has babies and quits job or works full time for employer who has less than 50 workers - both get full coverage under each parents plan until 26. Why not just say those born in odd months get Obamacare, those in even months do not!

Extending health insurance to children up to age 26 is for the rich. With the current unemployment rate this is a sham. Recent graduates working part time do not qualify. Only if they DO NOT WORK at all. That's because if the employer offers insurance, which is required by law with 50 > employees, grads must pay out of pocket for far inferior coverage. Many rich children take a year off after graduation. Poor children work part-time while looking for FT work. Rich kids get quality health care.

@loggerbuck i seen in person that the $800 BIll bailout is working, how in SC where i live we just purchase 20 new transportation buses and hired 15 new driver for a four county route that we needed for so long. nucor steel one of the largest steel makers in the US just hired 100 workers and reinstating temp jobs. and SCDOT are starting hiring in sept. my county has 9.1 unemployment, any thing is better than nothing, our mcdonalds has so many employees that people are only seeing 15hrs a week.

My company had its first meeting with our new CEO. A union guy asked what the company will do about the Obama Health Care Bill. His reply is that they are looking at higher taxes which will be passed on to the customers. Some of our medical benefits if too expensive will have to be dropped and we will have to rely on the Government program. I looked around at the Union guys and I was laughing. Now, Bush's deficit spending was long term spending ('till the bailouts, thank God he passed them, btw). It's moderate (not massive) spending that raises debt over time. It's meant to create growth even when there is no immediate crisis.
The issue governments must take with this is the effectiveness of this spending. They should make sure that the growth they create is superior to the money spent. Bush's spending wasn't. That makes it unsustainable. And it was not necessary, either.

And don't think this is just a way to collect taxes. Taxes are only there to pay for the bill.

@AmericanBadass44 Most of the law's provisions are already in effect: insurance co's may not cancel someone's existing health insurance coverage AFTER they become sick, children cannot be denied insurance coverage because of a pre-existing condition (and come 2014, nobody will), and 85% of insurance companies' revenue (i.e.--what they make from customer premiums) must go to paying claims (not salaries). People aren't going to say "sure, let's get rid of all this and go back to the old way."

Young adult under 26 works 30 hrs/wk while going to college full-time 20 units a quarter. Graduates, works part-time still looking for full time work gets substandard healthcare paying an arm and a leg. Same student gets married, has babies and quits job or works full time for employer who has less than 50 workers - both get full coverage under each parents plan until 26. Why not just say those born in odd months get Obamacare, those in even months do not!

Extending health insurance to children up to age 26 is for the rich. With the current unemployment rate this is a sham. Recent graduates working part time do not qualify. Only if they DO NOT WORK at all. That's because if the employer offers insurance, which is required by law with 50 > employees, grads must pay out of pocket for far inferior coverage. Many rich children take a year off after graduation. Poor children work part-time while looking for FT work. Rich kids get quality health care.

@loggerbuck i seen in person that the $800 BIll bailout is working, how in SC where i live we just purchase 20 new transportation buses and hired 15 new driver for a four county route that we needed for so long. nucor steel one of the largest steel makers in the US just hired 100 workers and reinstating temp jobs. and SCDOT are starting hiring in sept. my county has 9.1 unemployment, any thing is better than nothing, our mcdonalds has so many employees that people are only seeing 15hrs a week.

People should do a little historical research on Health Care. This same general form of health care was proposed by none other than Eisenhower and then later Nixon. My company had its first meeting with our new CEO. A union guy asked what the company will do about the Obama Health Care Bill. His reply is that they are looking at higher taxes which will be passed on to the customers. Some of our medical benefits if too expensive will have to be dropped and we will have to rely on the Government program. I looked around at the Union guys and I was laughing. They use to have Obama signs, now they wont even debate me about him. Love liberal thinking.

Now, Bush's deficit spending was long term spending ('till the bailouts, thank God he passed them, btw). It's moderate (not massive) spending that raises debt over time. It's meant to create growth even when there is no immediate crisis.
The issue governments must take with this is the effectiveness of this spending. They should make sure that the growth they create is superior to the money spent. Bush's spending wasn't. That makes it unsustainable. And it was not necessary, either.

The #1 deficit spender since 1900 was Franklin Delano Roosevelt; period. He spent 70% of the GDP in four years or so on WWII.
Today, that would be $10 trillion.
Stop looking at numbers and saying, "Holy shit, $5 trillion is more than $500 billion!" without taking into account inflation and GDP. Debt almost always increases when GDP increases. Debt is only relevant when it is put as a percentage of GDP. Nominal debt is meaningless.

What is your income? If your income is less than that equating to 400% of the poverty level, you will get tax credits from the government to help pay for insurance. The Federal Poverty Level for a family of three is $18310, so if your total family income is under $73240 a year, Uncle Sam will give you some subsidies on buying health insurance. The less you make, the higher the subsidy.
And don't think this is just a way to collect taxes. Taxes are only there to pay for the bill.

Bush hardly did anything but use deficit spending amounting to over 1.4 trillion dollars in his war and in his govt give-aways to the rich alone.
This did create some growth, as all deficit spending does, but not nearly enough to make up for the cost. That's the difference between good long term deficit spending and bad long term deficit spending.
Obama is using short-term deficit spending. Totally different, and totally necessary. We'd be in Depression again without it.

Second I contacted my states Congress people, ALL of them. Now Not all of them have the guts to reply in person. Third of all I find several places that have third party information. There are several sites. I Will see if I can get some to you. All I am asking people is to study, search and see the truth of all politicians.
