My Christian friend and I were having a convo in math the other day about religion, and we came to the topic of the trinity. He explained his take on it much better than anyone has ever before. @dudequerky Well I don't know for certain. Perhaps I am still somewhat brainwashed, lol. I'm the first to admit all my faults (unlike many Muslims and others). I guess one of my biggest questions concerns how intelligence evolved. The evolution of ethics makes perfect sense. It has everything to do with the social contract, Golden Rule, etc. It is possible that I just don't understand evolution well enough.

Quran means recite or recitation not book. The earliest Quranic text or written in book format was sometime in 670 AD before that there was no book called Quran. What ever book that was send down Sura 3:3 was the Old and New Testament compile in one book called Bible. Sura 10:94 "If you are in doubt about as to what we have revealed unto you, then ask those who have been reading the Book (Bible) from before the. The truth has indeed come to you from your Lord." @TheRushingWind I agree that homosexuality is abnormal, biologically. We are meant to procreate. I just don't think that it is wrong, ethically. I believe that homosexuality is God/Allah/Natures way of cleansing humanity of certain genes or maybe to keep us from over-populating (which isn't working too well in the 3rd world).

Women with abusive husbands have a horrible time trying to escape them since the legal system only allows for women to effectively annul marriages, they cannot wilfully divorce. But sex between any two or more consenting adults is not unethical. It might be gross (in our opinion). It might be risky to one's health. IF you think that the Bible WAS perfect, then surely you believe that it was inspired by Allah. So how did Allah allow the Bible to be tampered with? Does that not make him weak? I guess one of my biggest questions concerns how intelligence evolved. The evolution of ethics makes perfect sense. It has everything to do with the social contract, Golden Rule, etc. It is possible that I just don't understand evolution well enough.

Quran means recite or recitation not book. The earliest Quranic text or written in book format was sometime in 670 AD before that there was no book called Quran. What ever book that was send down Sura 3:3 was the Old and New Testament compile in one book called Bible. Saudi arabia still forbids women to even drive.

2,3,4 - I have no moral issue with pornography, drug use or prostitution.
Interestingly Japan has the largest availability of pornography yet hardly any rape crime.

Women with abusive husbands have a horrible time trying to escape them since the legal system only allows for women to effectively annul marriages, they cannot wilfully divorce. @bayreuth79 And I believe Islam also teaches the concept of hell. The very notion of someone deserving eternal suffering is awful and nauseating. I don't see how anyone can accept it. Religion is nothing but fear-mongering. "If you don't do such-and-such, Jesus or Allah or whoever will punish you" lol. My God is not malevolent like that. Truth is within every real human being. It is innate, a part of your conscience. Unfortunately people get easily brainwashed.
