  • Max Bacon has got to be one of the best vocalists I've seen in the rock world. Such range!!! He did some great songs with Mike Oldfield after GTR disbanded!!!

  • by shit music 1 million click & here by this superb great sound only ~ 42.000 - I understand the world no more, sorry, or are I am a east german idiot ? ;-)

  • awesome

  • I cant help it,when You People want to hear from God,listen to these Angels.

  • First video I have ever seen with a guitar just like mine..... Steve Howe's red guitar that is....

  • I was around when this came out and find it to be one of the Most Beautiful Vocal songs Ever.

  • well the other band these guys where part of other than ASIA was Yes all excelant music and musicans

  • @MrMrt777 The singer is Max Bacon. He wasn't with Asia but he did do a song with John Wetton, who was (and still is) with the band. Check out "Did It All For Love" by Phenomena.

  • @MrMrt777 Steve Hackett came from Genesis

  • whats the name of the lead singer? is he from Asia?

  • such a powerful message... i am moved...

  • Beautifully crafted. The guitars, the synths, the hooks, the refrain; the brief, gorgeous airy vocal bridge; Hackett's solo-bridge to Howe's acoustic backing of the singer. Simply brilliant. To those dismissing this as a sell-out, listen closely one more time. Back then I was happy for Howe and Hackett who could chart big and still maintain integrity. A creative and deserved break from their engagement in long, prog compositions.

  • ..why can todays music be like this...

    simple, fkng rocking....

  • ...if only ASIA could stik together

  • Don't know why, but this song sounds so familiar, it is well fantastic though.

  • Love this song.

  • I must have been 8 or 9 years old when I heard this and 'the hunter'. Great tunes, superb guitar work.

  • This band is the cream of the crop if someones putting them down they have no taste in music Steve Howe Steve Hackett an incredible guitar duo i loved this band when they came out its been years since Ive heard this song

  • oh lala

  • para mi muñeka con amor

  • Steve and Steve plus a killer singer... perfect!

  • tech summer 86

  • Loved this song. I was a teen in the 80's, and would listen to this song over and over. Good times.

  • Thought to be be a swan song for two incredible guitarists, GTR instead was a complete band that delivered a musical dream. Pitty is was so short lived,

  • This video is so '80s it hurts.

  • @Lfdjake91 true thats why i like it

  • Max Bacon! isn't that now a Wendy's hamburger?

  • @archDeluxxe good one

  • OMG, I have FORGOTTEN ABOUT THIS BAND!!! Thanks SO MUCH FOR POSTING!!!

  • I think it's sad that this band couldn't stay together (wasn't a second album, or some of one, recorded?) and really sad Max Bacon didn't reach more stardom, his vocals here and on the other single The Hunter are phenomenal.

  • stop comparing this to their early material, this is 80s progressive rock. Both steves will always be great

  • Love to hear Steve Howe's guitar, anyplace, any band!!!

  • The sad thing was this group showed what was "wrong" with the 80's "supergroup". Egos running amok, and the band didn't sound good live. Most of their sound on their only LP came from specially-made midi pick ups on the guitars that would sound great recorded, but terrible live.

This was, in my view, GTR's best song.

  • Max Bacon kicked around with a ton of talent as a singer. This was the closest he got to a breakout.

  • Steve Hackett and Steve Howe.......how can you wrong????

  • I find it absolutely hilarious to see Steve Hackett dancing like that! I've seen him live, and he barely moves on stage! He's such a cool, reserved man......it's like the director said, "Steve! Jump around! Look like you're having a good time!"

I love Steve Hackett and Steve Howe!

  • @TheSeptemberRose you know.. they all did it.. lot of em did anyway in the 80's, I saw Robert Plant & he had the Mario Tricocci 80's styled up hair & members only jacket look goin,Mick Jagger ..the same..

  • i HAVE LOOKED FOR THIS SONG 4-EVER THANK YOU FOR LOADING THE VIDEO.GOOD TIMES.

  • Loved this band project!! So many memories!!

  • Stephen Richard Hackett (born 12 February 1950) is a British singer-songwriter and guitarist. He gained prominence as a member of the British progressive rock group Genesis, which he joined in 1970 and left in 1977 to pursue a solo career. Hackett contributed to six Genesis studio albums, three live albums and seven singles.

  • unglaublich geil das lied und diese combo

  • I have a problem with the following: this is a great song, and in the 80's it was played quite a bit on the radio. Always a favorite tune of mine. I cannot understand how this has only gotten 13,699 views and the talent-less pseudo-artists of today get millions. There is something really wrong here: is it this generation???

  • @80srule4ever, totally agree!!! I don't understand why people are so "caught-up" in these no talent singers like Taylor Swift and Kayne West and these no talent rappers that think they are "kick-ass".... BTW- I'm 40 and reliving my teenage days watching 80's music videos!!

  • @barthunt1 Exactly! I did not want to mention names but you read my mind. I honestly think that young people today (save for a few exceptions who actually say they love 70's and 80's music), have no idea at all about what good music really is. They get fed a good dose of talent-less rubbish and they think is the greatest! The more I listen to the music of past decades (even of those decades in which I was not even born), the more I realize that today's music is HORRIBLE.

  • @80srule4ever, what band did Steve Hackett play for?? I know Steve Howe played for Asia... Help me out!!!

  • @barthunt1 He was the lead guitarist for Genesis. Hope this helps!

  • @barthunt1 Steve Howe began most of his career in Yes long before Asia.

  • which steve won in the end? I guess hackett did because he did a runner

  • @skintrade I think Hackett won.

  • pure cheese

  • SHT

    (just kidding....)

  • Who would have thought it.. shy hackett with a full beard and glasses in 1972 doing this!!!!

  • great stuff.hadnt heard this in so long.

  • Some idiotic comments in this thread, calling this band "homogenous," "pop drivel," "awful," etc. I was in my early 20s when this album came out and the prog rock fans (like me) & guitar magazine writers back then thought it was great. There's nothing "homogenous" about this music at all -- on the contrary, it was totally fresh and new sounding at the time, with intelligent lyrics and excellent musicianship. Just 'cuz there aren't any 18-minute songs on the album doesn't make it "pop drivel."

  • @Ken5244 I agree Ken good call. Their opinions are like a-h everyone's got one!

  • @Ken5244 Amen. The ELP/Yes fans from the 70s love to define what 'music' is, to us

  • @Ken5244 THANK YOU! Someone gets this album!

  • Comment removed

  • @Ken5244 Great statement, I agree whole heartedly!

  • The only really good successful "prog rock" band still going very strong is Rush. All others may have had a good tune here and there in the past, but Rush still lives on putting out new material and successful big tours.

  • @Rockywaves73 yes is still going strong and are planning to release a new album next year and theyve been going longer than rush

  • @nintendo64isking Rush is still king.

  • @Rockywaves73 I have to agree with you there. Rush have outlived and outplayed everyone in the progworld. Though I still love the other 70s proggers as well

  • Excellent song I saw this tour I always wondered why they didn't do more.

  • @jcoleman201045

They didn't do more 'cuz the two Steves couldn't get along. I dunno whether it was egos or what, but Jonathan Mover said, after they broke up, that some real animosity had developed between Hackett & Howe & they couldn't carry on like that. Such a shame, 'cuz this was a GREAT album from start to finish.

I've always wondered if the animosity developed on tour, 'cuz the Steves were guest VJs on MTV in the beginning and seemed to get along fine. Who knows ....

  • Max Bacon, the singer for GTR sure sounds like Dennis DeYoung of Styx, doesn't he?......great tune, by the way!

  • this guy has a voice like Dennis DeYoung, This tune has a great sound and the more you listen to it the better it sounds, there is nothing bad about it... People who leave bad comments are just open to music like this and have a closed mind... I love the 80's and I think this group could have went to be a super group, but who know now... Check out my channel, just hit markryan1963 and check it out....

  • Amazing how the 80's had such a leveling effect, reducing so many bands to this homogeneous brew of synth washes and lyrics that make Hallmark cards sound like Shakespeare.

  • I played this song over and over when it came out. I like steve howe better when he's with Asia, but he still rocks.

  • I don't understand all these thumbs down.

This track is decent for the 80's, but pretty godawful compared to the stuff that was created through hackett and howe.

  • Pop drivel. A waste of Hackett and Howe.

  • I love Yes and early Genesis.

    This is awful.

  • Kirklott nailed it, prog music was mostly watered down in the 80s (GTR, Kansas, Genesis...). The only thing good about this song is that riff at 3:22.... it totally doesn't fit the song, but is a cool riff nonetheless.

  • A neo-Progressive soft rock masterpiece

a sucessor of the late sixties & seventies classics.

  • Gracias por subirlo ....Love 80s music!!!

    Great Song

  • the guitar player is awesome!!!

  • Great song this is the whole thing. Love the singers voice.

  • The 80s were an awkward and rather awful time for prog rock.

  • @kirklott lets be honest though, 70s was the era for prog
