  • 6 people don't have friends

  • i just created an accont just to say how must i LOVE this awsome song and band

  • I'm gonna pull you in close

    Gonna wrap you up tight

Gonna play with your fluff 'til you're feelin' alright.

    REEEEEEEEEEEEEEMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • Replay, replay, replay!!

Love this song soo much!! :D

  • obstacle 3 is barricade lol

  • Has anyone seen this image moving? Sorry, i think it was the drugs... or the song. Wait! I don't use drugs.

  • still love this...

  • If you enjoy Interpol's sound, this album is simply premiere. It's drug-like and delicious. I've sought and have yet discovered an all-around tighter album. Seriously guys, after you go watch them play these tracks live and get an erection, you'll understand. It just happens.

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS WHOLE ALBUM. fuck.

  • 8 people wasted wine when there were words to sell.

  • friends don´t waste wine when there´s words to sell

  • Another thing I figured is that the songs following Obstacle 1 on Turn on the Bright Lights are generally "easier" to listen to (NYC, PDA, SHTTAngels, etc). The songs following Obstacle 2 are what hardcore Interpol fans would understand better (Stella, The New, Leif Erikson etc.)

But screw what I think, Interpol are genius whether they try to or not.

  • I know that this isn't the meaning behind the names.

But for me personally, its easier to like Obstacle 1 generally. Hence, the first obstacle. For Obstacle 2, the 2nd obstacle (lol...), it seems like once you accept it, pass the obstacle, you accept the other half of Interpol's music. I KNOW THATS NOT THE MEANING LOL. It's just something I found interesting.

  • You should take off ads on this video. This is not your song, and it's a shame that you can make money off of it.

  • @peeeesh ??? As far as I know, youtube puts the ads in the videos, not the usernames but I might be wrong.

  • @KxK96

Yeah it's the users who turn on ads. YouTube gives you permission to monetize, and you can choose whether or not to turn on the ads, and what type of ads to enable.

  • @peeeesh so he gets money from this ? -___- what a douche.

  • I love how he starts the song.

  • Why the hell is Interpol so amazing? Not that I'm complaining or anything...

  • @LoliFox14 Yeah you're complaining....

  • 4 people are bitches!!....and justin bieber fans

  • interpol....best band i have ever ran across..& imma die hard hip hop fan...but this is musiq fo da soul

  • 4 people are entitled to their opinions.

  • 3 people waste wine

  • This song is so underrated.

  • Gut, aber Obstacle 1 ist in meinen Augen besser! :)

  • brilliant!

  • I need to offer this album to everyone I know. Their music is so musical,it just beats the condensed conventions.Groove shining through the cracks.

    all the best,

  • If you can fix me up, girl, we’ll go a long way. I will stand by all this drinking

if it helps me through these days. In my mind, this is my free-time

  • Perfect

  • When the bass kicked in, i jizzed myself.

  • Wheres Obstacle 3??

  • @diegopsp1010 It's a mediocre cover of Obstacle 1 on Youtube :)

  • @diegopsp1010 Arrow to the knee

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg Oh well

  • Warning ostensibly to Interpol at your own risk. Be advised that you may suffer from extreme pleasure to your ears. It may also cause braingasms

  • this is literally the best band in the world. no one compares to interpol. my opinion atleast.

  • Thumbs up if you like Obstacle 1 better.

  • Está Rola!la Puse en Favorites Por: MrKrak117 xD Por qe Grass a eél! No soy Rara en mis Gustos! haha (: (YY)

  • anesthesia for your brain

  • Jesus...can they rock anymore???? Free drugs for the auditory nerve!

  • Drinking beer, swinging on ropes right into the river to this song..what a summer, what an album :)

  • @jnecros lucky

  • Am I the only one that thinks that Obstacle 1 and Obstacle 2 are different songs (and then, they can't be compared)?

  • @angelorfd the songs probably have similar meanings, they probably just didn't know what to call the songs, kind of like how Dave Matthews Band has songs such as #34 and #41

  • @JohnnyMastro I read an interview with Paul where he said they were the first two songs written after a period of writer's block.

Hence 'Obstacle 1' and 'Obstacle 2'. Apparently.....

  • @Marcuskristicus Ahhh makes sense, clever

  • @Marcuskristicus Actually i can confirm that Obstacle 2 was written first than Obstacle 1. And there's not much correlation between those two songs. I read that in a interview with Paul.

  • @angelorfd Actually i can confirm that Obstacle 2 was written first than Obstacle 1. And there's not much correlation between those two songs. I read that in a interview with Paul.

  • think this one's for you

  • obstacle 1 is better cause it has a better beat but the words on this one .. true meaning <3

  • Hey this song is still rad! I honestly never really heard this song, i always thought obstacle 1 was better. But all of interpol's music is bomb! especially this album. Im going to buy it my next check. I should done this a year ago. I lost my ipod :(

  • obsatcle 1 is better.

  • @MrRAUL101 i agree

  • obstacle 1 is btter.

  • IS THIS THE ALBUM VERSION BECAUSE I'VE HEARD ANOTHER ONE

  • @INTERPOLFAN17 was it obstacle 1? this is 2. or maybe you are right. idk

  • @erischaotic it was this one...probably a live version. same lyrics. :)

  • @INTERPOLFAN17 Black EP/Session probably (live on french radio, very very very good :))

  • @INTERPOLFAN17 could be the peel sessions version

that one is great, I think I might prefer it to the original. The chorus sounds so good.

  • @danielhehehehe thats exactly the one i just looked it up. :) great.

  • Obstacle 1 is way better, no contest, lmao.

  • @ArmenianProductions Im sorry i personally think this ones WAAAAY bttr, i'd say theres a bit of a contest though, both amazing songs.

  • the bass sounds dope to play

  • Guitar part reminds me of All We Ever Wanted by Bauhaus

  • I love the way that during concert or in some music videos of interpol, you'll see Daniel Kessler does that amazing thing with his feet where he like gets on his toes and twists his ankles, I love it...

  • "I feel like love is in the kitchen with a culinary eye

I think he's making something special and I'm smart enough to try

If you don't trust yourself for at least one minute each day

Well you should trust in this girl cause loving is coming our way"

    *sigh* high school memories

  • @Sinitalela High School memories? lol how old are you? 18?

    young kids. LOL

  • @Colombinany lol 23 actually. "high school memories" because that's when I discovered Interpol and those were my favorite lines in the song. is that strange?

  • @Sinitalela Lol i see. Im 23 as well.

  • @Colombinany lol no prob

  • @Colombinany Jajaj im 20 and i dont consider yourself older...

  • 2 people are def and blind, poor chavs

  • man this song is awesome

  • 'cause friends don't waste wine when there's words to sell

  • One of my favorite Interpol songs.

  • This song is so chill...

  • this is soo cool

  • no expression for this

  • The INTRO is really KICKASS!! I'm gonna pull in close I'm gonna wrap you up tight...

  • I'm sure kessler and banks wouldn't be phased by a dislike or 2. So neither should we.

  • @purejoydivided you forgot sam fogarino.........

  • @purejoydivided how do you know?? do you knowthem wait no of course not so dont speak on someone elses behalf

  • @1peace1and1weed1 my bad

  • @ToConfused hahaha

  • ama stick to obstacle 1

    n.n still, good song

  • This song sounds like All We Ever Wanted Was Everything by Bauhuas

  • @sectionnine9

I thought that.... like a higher version of the guitar in all we ever wanted behind the strumming..

i wonder if bauhaus had any influence on this band.

  • @ryancuther

yep... ill take that as sarcasm hahaha...

also, Say Hello to the Angels sounds like Third Uncle by Bauhaus

Seriously, these guys come up with the best song titles ever.

I saw them this fall and I love them now

  • all time favourite interpol song

  • good as the first obstacle

  • asdfghjkl;<3

  • Honestly one of their best songs! They've changed and produced some absolute gems but how nice it would be to have more songs like this on future albums. TOTBL is one of the best albums around and Interpol are one classy band! Long may it continue :)

  • im going to sample a part of this break down and FUCKIN RAP ON IT

  • both obstacles are badass

  • @WorkingClassAntihero Yah they are!!

  • is it true carlos d left the band?? :[

  • @twihard4lif3  Yes D;

  • algu dia te encotrare!

  • It took me a while to listen to this because like film sequels I thought there was no way Obstacle 2 could be as good as Obstacle 1, boy was I wrong.

  • @andyrp988 same thing with me an i actually like this one just as much as the first

  • Joy Division Rip Off

  • @RAGEMACHNE Joy Division influence, not rip off.

  • @JUSTxINSANE Too similar to call it "influence". Interpo is not an original sound, and so they fail.

  • @RAGEMACHNE Joy Division is darker/slower with more philosophy references - in other words, you fail. Not all post-punk sounds the same, it's like the people who claim all rap sounds the same. Tools.

  • @TokoYami200 That is arguably the greatest thing anyone's ever said. On Youtube, at least.

  • @TokoYami200 interpol has "dark" songs just like JD had lighter songs. The vocals are practically identical. Any idiot can see that. Like I said, Joy Division rip off.

  • @TokoYami200 PS Editors is another band that Intetpol ripped off. Interpol should just stop making music and their fans should be shipped off to a remote island somewhere for their bad taste in music.

  • @RAGEMACHNE interpol was about 1997 and the editors was about 2002. you're fucking retarded, here's my weapon with one round in it put it to good use and blow your fucking brains out, you goddamn retard.

  • @RAGEMACHNE and interpol sounds nothing like joy division, unless you think ian curtis sounds like this. in which case you are about oh a few octaves off. and frankly, as far as anyone with any musical sense is concerned, joy division was far more musically talented. interpol is a more simplistic band, lacking the synth leads and vocal melodramaticism that joy division possessed. not saying either is bad. just saying you're slower than a retard in molasses. haters will be haters.

  • @RAGEMACHNE The world is too big for just one band to sound the same.

  • I have been in love with Interpol since the 6th grade. Funny how even at the age of 12 or 13 I knew Interpol was badass!!

  • Subllime!....

  • INTERPOL=REAL TALENT!

  • eargasm!

  • @yolk151 grossssss

  • @kyjortin it's people like u who are spawning a new generation of bandwagoning FAGGOTS

  • all there albums seem to grow on you its a shame about the bassist

  • Is an a really good song

    I like it

  • You know, i use to listen to Interpol occasionally, Then due to a dispute between paul banks and one of my musician Friends, i actually ended up having several conversations with Paul. All of which led me to want to listen to his music more and more. And for about the past year straight ive been listening to TONS of interpol, and can't wait for the new album :P
