I'm guessing you probably know this by now, but if you don't there is an easier way to do this in vista. which just involves right clicking on the little power thing right beside the clock on the lower right hand side of the screen. Then clicking power options then on the left side of that is an option that says choose what pressing the power button does.

In Windows 7, it's easier to find it. I think you go to the start menu properties.

Anyway to remove Sleep from the list? For some reason my computer crashes when it aks up from Sleep. I get lines all over my screen and my speakers emit noise.

GREAT! finally , damn ive been clickin that button for ages and it goes to sleep, how annoying was that! thanx a lot, hey and when you did this in the video i saw your pc was on Balanced between Performance and Energy savings, i put it on high performance, is this smart to do ? im not working on a laptop so energy doesnt really matter i guess... ?

To Turn off Windows Defender, Get into Windows Defender, click on Tools->Options, select Administrator Options, and uncheck the Use Windows Defender box. Confirm that you do indeed want to do this, click Close, and you're all set.
