  • nah not really.. it's just what i started calling my video lessons when i started them "pocket rockouts".. i could have called them "sloppy drumming from a guy that's not entirely sure what he's doing behind a kit" but then i don't think anybody would have watched. lol.

I m still starting kit and this is very helpful

  • i have been watching your videos since you got your masters kit and you have become really big!im just looking at all these comments you are getting and i would like to add you have also influenced me alot,so thanks.yeah its the same snare....ITS THE BEST!!!

  • Dude youre so good. .I've only had a couple major influences that have changed my playing, and you are one of them. You've really inspired me to new thinking and aspects when it comes to beats, and music itself. I just took this time to congratulate you on your amazing talent and that all of your videos are great. BTW, can I have your cymbal specs?

  • they're some kind words there my friend, thank you.

my cymbals in this video are zildjian Avedis series.

14" new beat hats, 18" med-thin crash, 17" thin crash, 20" med ride... real standard, middle of the road stuff. i like cymbals like that because they're versatile and i never know what style i'm gonna be hired to play.

  • i had an old snare drum so i went to get a new one and ended up getting the same one as you! its great....oh and so was your video!

  • pearl sensitone custom alloy beaded brass shell with black nickel coating in the 5x14 size with mastercast hoops? IT'S THE BEST SNARE DRUM IN THE WORLD!

  • good dumming and some cool patterns

sometime you should do a lesson or something on linear patterns

  • good idea fatxiong...it also happens to me!!!

  • hey johnny..nice video again...i really like them..all ur examples are great..
