Do you understand that you can't apply any of the skills you learn on the fight deck when you get out? You may think airports, but anyone can actually do that...besides, they'll pick crew chiefs/PC's before they ever pick handlers/directors to work at an airport.

I worked on the internal electronics of the various aircraft that could land on the carrier including helos. Thats a green shirt, in case you were wondering. If a plane has anything, ANYTHING, wrong with its electrical components, it is unable to fly. Well those pieces of gear would come to AIMD, where I worked, and we fix those components by repairing them at component level.
