  • I'm from Wisconsin and I'll give you southerners credit for getting off your asses and doing hard work trying to control the situation. But these videos seem more geared to persuade tourists to still come to vacation oil stained beach areas and there's other things to do besides swim.

  • @BSHarris88 Our goal is to show that we have 32 miles of beach and that so far our oil impact has been scattered. Many beach areas were not impacted. And clean up crews are working. Certainly we would like tourists to continue to come see us. And yes, our area has many other attractions beyond the beach and the Gulf waters.

  • Rebecca, you are doing a wonderful job! My mother is from Mobile and we have numerous relatives there still. though I'm wayyyyyy up here in Central Ga. One cousin told me exactly what you have reported, thanks and keep it up!

  • The Alabama Department of Public Health is keeping a close check on the water conditions. As soon as it is safe, they will reopen the waters for swimming.

  • no swimming????..im coming from costa rica because friends told me this beach is great, now i cant swim...HATE BP
