Derek and Odette have always been one of my favorite animated couples. The way their relationship is depicted across the series is refreshing in its honesty. While they are good people, they still have problems, arguments, and miscommunications. They grow in their love and struggle to make things work - while it's undeniably idyllic, the series shows that you don't need to be "perfect" or live a "perfect" life to have a beautiful relationship.

Swan Princess was produced by Nest Entertainment, not Disney; however, the head animator did come from Disney. The only other animated pieces Nest created besides Swan Princess were historical and religious to my knowledge. Granted it doesn't make this movie any less amazing, and it is still my favorite. <3

Okay, I own all the Swan Princess movies on VHS.... I haven't watched this movie in YEARS!!!!! I watch this video? Suddenly I wanna watch Swan Princess and share the disney classics with my little sister that'll be 3 next month. Disney will always produce wonderful movies and songs! Even the classics from the very beginning can be compared to some of the best and most popular of today and the future and can still win over the new stuff!

even though i like most disney movies, odette was one of the only princesses that sent out a good message to kids. when eric told her how he loved her cause she was beautiful, she didnt jump in his arms and swoon. she didn't want someone who loved her for looks. AND they knew each other since they were kids, so it wasnt like "i met you two days ago and love you. your gorgeous. lets get married!"

I think the idea was that fate brought two people together, and they were always meant to be together, so it was a love at first sight kind of thing. cheesy I know, but I think it was meant to be hopeful. and it was for a lot of people I guess
