That's one reason why I want to move to Chicago. I love the architecture in that city. Of Course other cities around the world are making a name for themselves with their architecture.

dubai is a fake city of office parks, and suburban skyscrapers.....theres no real city to it.......kinda like las vegas

Look man, Sure Dubai is beautiful, I have been there and i love it, but what is beautiful? how do u define beauty? I like American cities such as San Francisco, Chicago, New York just as much or even more than i like dubai, and i agree with detroitman.. I think Dubai is starting to get ridiculously over crowded with what they call modern buildings... I think Chicago's simple buildings have more character than futuristic ones in chicago itself and else where i.. hope i am making sense.

60% of Dubai lives in poverty.
If your a rich sheik or an American tourist it's fine.
If we were paying Indian Laborers $5/day to build a skyscraper I bet we could build even bigger ones than in Dubai.
