@chuckydog probably because of the fact he's from Manchester, and grew up listening to The Smiths, copying them, borrowing a guitar from Marr y'know bascially being in awe of them... I wouldn't say it's the greatest cover, i don't hold Oasis in very high regard, but i think if anyone tries to cover a song, regardless of whether that cover is good or bad, it is just a flattering testament to the song, let's face it, covers help immortalise songs, and i for one don't want this song to die :)
