  • What's the song?

  • Anybody else notice all the comments here are really long.

  • They might not have put a V8 in there because they try to make the genesis a cheap sportscar. I'm looking into buying a '13 genesis coupe 3.8 and I think that 345hp for a V6 that's 30k is pretty damn good. With some mods you can increase It even more!

  • Customer retention study ranks Hyundai highest

Hyundai ranked highest among 33 automotive brands in retaining customers when they buy a new vehicle, according to results from a J.D. Power and Associates study released Wednesday.

The study is based on responses from more than 117,000 buyers or lessees of new vehicles last year, of which 73,733 replaced a vehicle that was bought new.

  • The 2.0t vs the new Focus ST? Anyone? Anyone? One is rear wheel drive and one is front wheel but has some serious performance r&d and is much lighter...

  • Let me tell you something. This car is GORGEOUS! Even more gorgeous than the latest Elantra and latest Sonata. I saw pictures online of this car, and I immediately fell in love with its design. It looks even better than the first Genesis coupe. On the other hand... I do wish the interior looked a bit more interesting to match the exterior's loveliness.

  • I wish they would put a Turbo V8 in the Hyundai that will have everybody running to the dealership.

  • IM JAZZZZZING IN MY PAANNTTSS --- laundry day came early :'(

  • Hey Hyundai when does the new Genesis builder go live? And P.S. I'm going to buy a fully loaded 350HP 2013 Genesis on the understanding that you won't blindside me with a V8 in a year or two. Because if that happens I will never buy another Hyundai. BMW, et al. always give two years notice of an impending "M" version car, you would be wise to do the same. BTW why no ventilated seats? Everything but...

  • P.S. Kudos to the entire redesign. The old front end was a deal breaker for me, as were the silly/distracting gauges atop the center console. You addressed all major complaints and threw in some very nice extras with the LED's. But the fog lights are still too prominent, and I can see my MPG's in the center info. display so enough with those please. I hope I'm wrong and it's two pieces so I can keep the running lights without the fogs.

  • Nice to see a power bump. However that front end is tragic. Hyundai had a really good looking car with 1st gen. All it needed was the Tau, shave some weight and tune the suspension and it would have been a Mustang eater. I hate that they went so far in redesigning the front. And still no Tau. Dammit Hyundai.

  • car looks great!

  • ill take my gt-86 thank you very much =)

  • @3dscott the subaru and scion twins have a nicer front but are going to be hella slow tough! only 200hp to the flywheel, expect about 179hp to the wheels when the real Hp get dynoed, the genesis is going to run laps around these guys.

I'll take the new 280hp Turbo Gencoupe with my catfish front, and wait for the aftermarket to give me a facelift to my liking.

  • @matrixloader

One I would rather buy Japanese and two. The gt-86 isn't all about straight line speed. The cornering is were it's going to show and for myself i would rather have that. Plus with the 7-10k i would save not buying a Gen coupe ill buy a full 3 inch exhaust and lower the car on some nice springs.

  • @3dscott to each their own, I got nothing against jap cars as i own 1 and i also own 1 korean car and they both been very reliable for the last 10 years , but i just don't like the style honda and toyota is going with now a days with some of their cars, their already ruined the civic and most of the acura line up for me. The korean's seem to be doing a very good job in my opinion and i give them props for stepping up their game.

  • Hyundai is still garbage. I drove a 2010. And I was disappointed. It felt very slow cheap and plastic like on the inside. The Genesis has not proven itself like Acura or Lexus I need to see a Genesis with 300000 miles. With little maintenance

  • @acuratlnigga your proving a Hyundai to a higher tier? and not honda or toyota? why did you pick acura/lexsus? is that the 2 brands hyundai is competing

  • @acuratlnigga YOUR 2004 ACCURA WOLD GET RAPED BY THE NEW V6 3.8 GENESIS COUPE... CRY.

  • @acuratlnigga Good luck with that you looking at the wrong car maker then.

  • is that in 1 of sep 2012 ? or 9 of jun 2012 ?

  • @Aqrab1 its 9 January 2012

  • Amazing !!! My all measures !!! Hyundai is ascending the hill fast

  • sleek!!!

  • 5.0 LITER V8 PLZ.

  • @FreedomIn08 nah, a high horsepower v6 that rev's insanely high is more intense.

  • Comment removed

  • oh no there actually going through with this design, so why couldnt they just left it the way it was and upgraded the engines along with introducing a 5.0L v8 for the coupe. My biggest complaint is the hideous fog lights along with the tacky LEDS.

  • I can't freakin wait for this car to come out. getting it the first week it drops

  • sooooooo ugly car

  • Hi, can someone please tell me who produced this music?

    Thanks.

  • GTR wannabee bahahaha all i can say is that this thing will be a astronomic failure. ill save my cash and buy an FT-86. at least its better than this POS in every way and will dance around this

  • @tyronnezx lol how do you figure that a 25K car is a GTR wannabe? It looks nothing like it. If you're referring to the grill, the 08 eclipse had that before the GTR. Who's copying who?

The FT86 is in a totally different class from the GC, and sounds like it's going to be slower than a genesis AND more expensive to mod. The 86 will likely handle better, but if all you want is about 300 to 400 horsepower on a street car, then the genesis will get you there cheaper and more reliably.

  • @tyronnezx so gtr is a tc wanna be then?

  • @tyronnezx noob this even isn't in the same class and the FT-86 is the concept, it's now called GT-86

  • @sonydominates I meant, it's not the same class as the GT-R

  • @tyronnezx the fr-s is made for 100% handling, the gc isn't. and by pos you mean hyundai in the top 5 reliable companies for customer satisfaction in the US?

  • @juukyuu7666

hyundais unreliable and no amounts of youtube keyboard cryings going to fix that..

  • give us a 1.6lit turbo with 180-200bhp for econy and power plz!

  • @johnnyxp64 the veloster turbo will be debuting as well. It WILL have the 1.6 turbo.

btw the 3.8 is putting down 350hp and he 2.0t is putting down 275hp.

  • Where's the V8?

  • hello devil... >:)

  • GDI pretty much guarantees there won't be any aftermarket support of power upgrades for a good while. :(

  • AARRRRGGH get that wing off it!!!

  • Atrocious grille gone, horrible factory wing remains.

  • @Chromedragon79 Thats only your opinion.

  • they made it uglier...

  • It's facelift time!!

  • I have a feeling I won't like the headlights. I got the impression of a Jaguar when the front was teased.

  • I seriously do not believe the music could be anymore cheesy.

  • Sex on wheels!!!

  • Looks a lot more aggressive than the current Genesis. I like it.

  • The new interior is great, the new tail lights badass, the new powertrain awesome. The new front bumper UGLY, the nonfunctional hood vents look like nostrils, and the headlights looked better when they were squinting. <--picky picky genesis customer :\

  • @juukyuu7666 I'm thinking exactly the same thing as you. For this car, an aftermarket bumper and hood are basically a necessity. I'm really, really hoping the aftermarket is going to bring out something that complements the new headlights.

  • So sexy!

  • Can't wait :D

  • v6

  • put in a v8, or idgaf

  • @Deeticus V8 = Penis Extender

  • @Vega6558 No, In dubai V8 = necessity.

On the highways here heavy trucks are going 140-160kph (100mph) while traffic in the fast lane is at 200-220kph (125-130mph)

Here a car with less than a v8 is nothing short of dangerous. To cruise on the highways here at 140-150mph, you need a V8 powered car.

  • @KalEl600rr Either your kph to mph conversions are wrong, or you're full of shit. Nobody highway cruises at 140 mph, and even V8 cars will not cruise for long at 140 mph.

  • @jaeminseo You have never been to Dubai have you? Look up emirates road, 6 lanes on each side and the speed limit is 100mph. But since our cops are not fat pigs who sit by the road all day like in the US, we have fixed radar cameras and can speed as much we want in the middle.

And any german v8 sedan can cruise at 220-230 kph all day long.

Just because you people cant use the power of a V6 let alone a V8 fully on your shit roads, doesnt mean no one else in the world cant either.

  • @KalEl600rr No lie, I've never been to Dubai. Sounds really nice though, would like to visit sometime.

There's a pretty big difference between 100 mph and the 140 to 160 mph cruising speed you discussed earlier. I can realistically see cruising at 100 mph, but 140 and 160 are far fetched.

I drive a 300+ horsepower V6 sports coupe, and I can tell you from experience than 140-160 is NOT cruising speeds. 160 is called redline on 6th gear. I'm sure on a V8, it's still around 5000 rpm.

  • @jaeminseo Like I said, Speed limit is 100mph, You can cross the cameras at 160 kph (100mph) without them catching you. But people with faster cars do 220-230 kph ( 135-140 mph) between the cameras which is sometimes up to 30-40 kms. roads are arrow straight.

My friend has a 2009 gtr (imported from the US btw) and he can cruise at 250-260kph at around 5500 rpm in sixth gear. And that car can do it all day long..

This is why i said that more than anywhere else, in Dubai a V8 car is a necessity

  • @KalEl600rr my friend what you saying if if you cross the cameras at 300km it will catching you

did you forgot that they change the cameras to a new models

even the old one can catching you in a speed of 200km not 160km !

  • @KalEl600rr wow! do those camels have superchargers or turbos to go that fast?

  • Funny, you know whats more funny? Youre 32 and probably cant even buy your own house. Me? Im 24, run my own business and have my 458 on order.

And my country makes you pay out of your ass for our oil and we have built a city that is the envy of the world. Tallest building in the world, multiple seven star hotels, Man made islands, free housing, education, healthcare. Not to mention Dubai is a regional business hub where billions are made each year.

Meanwhile, you guys are jealous and broke lol

  • @KalEl600rr hahahahahah yea right your probably a fat guy sitting infront of hes shitty computer all day

  • @KalEl600rr really buddy if u born in a rich family from dubai i expect u to have a nice car and own business retard. As soon as the west is done with oil u country is going to be lost with the sand .

  • @KalEl600rr all of which has been modeled after western culture, you may believe you are superior but you are more like a fan or wannabe of the US lol.

  • @btchblond88 Modeled after the US? We are nothing like you, we have our own identity and culture. And US fan? I wouldnt touch an american car let alone buy one. Here we buy the best and that is German for luxury and Italian for performance.

Biggest difference between us, you people are broke and dont have jobs. We on the other hand, have more money than God himself.

We are unstoppable and will always be the richest. No one in the heavens or the earth can stop our money.

  • @KalEl600rr

By sheer luck of nature you have oil. You guys didn't even know what oil was used for if it wasn't for the British. US or any other country can take it if we want. But since we are friends we let you have it.

Who are you gonna call when Iran decided to invade and take Arab oil? Of course the US. Just like we save your brothers in Kuwait.

Let's get real, nobody cares about Dubai but your countrymen. Nobody but Arabs have it on their top 100 destinations to visit.

  • @stirrednotshaken7 Oil accounted for less than 6% of our income, in 2007. Now its even less.

Face it, while you savages were wasting your money and time on fighting a bunch of goat fucking farmers in useless wars (that you couldn't even win lol), we were busy making more money than god. Open your eyes, you people still live in 2001.

Dont be jealous of people who are actually progressing instead of being on the fast track to being a broke, failed state like you.

  • @KalEl600rr

You are mad delusional. LOL !!

Savages as you call us are the ones who are building your infrastructures aren't we. You guys can't even build proper buildings without foreign help. Who built your oil industry? Who built your tall buildings ?

UAE doesn't even register in world minds, irrelevent little country who's exstance depend on the developed countries around the world.

Hope the Iranians don't invade you, you'll be calling Uncle Sam.

    Pathetic !

  • @KalEl600rr I can see that Mohammed has taught you humility.

  • @brownale66pack And I can see that fox news taught you, well, nothing.

Dont you have some chinese classes to get to?

  • @KalEl600rr

Don't get carried away my friend. While you brag about Dubai, its still irrelevent city when ranked among the best cities in the world. Dubai is nothing but an Arab Las Vegas, no culture just man made. No culture like New York or Paris nor has the energy of Seoul or Tokyo.

Burj Kalifa the tallest building in the world was built by Koreans and drawn up by Americans. Man made islands build by Americans and Europeans. You people don't have the knowhow. Jealous of Arabs? LOL

  • @stirrednotshaken7 While your cities are crumbling and your economy is in the shitter, We are enjoying free everything. And you know whats irrelevant? Detroit and your famous auto industry who cant match the Japanese in your OWN country lol.

Only thing your country is good at exporting is violence. Nothing else.

Shut the fuck up before we make you pay 4 dollars a gallon again.

  • @KalEl600rr You may very well be the kufar that ALLAH speaks of. You live for this life and not the other. If you are not Muslim I understand the ignorance. If you are a Muslim, I also understand the ignorance. I know that Arabs take everything to the heart. Be thankful that the US lets you do whatever it is that you do. At the end of the day, you are slave to this dunya. I'll pray for you and pray that ALLAH will guide you. Good luck in life.

  • @KalEl600rr

$4 dollars per gallon, no problem. It'll only speed up develop countries to use less oil and use alternative energy then you'll be back on your camel. Must be proud as you brag about UAE while most of the Arab world live in poverty. No wonder Arbas are seeking new gov'ts. Your little irrelvent country depend on us anyway.

True Japanese and Koreans have done a good job at building nice cars but its eems finally US car builders are as well.

Oh what auto industry UAE have ?

  • Me Gusta

  • Does they have here in the montreal auto show???

  • wow

    the car is the future

    good luck
