Incredible...the Freemasons have been around for centuries, everyone has known about them, but a popular book and awful movie adaptation come out and people create the wildest conspiracy theories ever...incredible. Before DaVinci Code, people were not freaking out about this. I had never believed in mass hysteria before this--just stunning.

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but when I checked on getting a copy of this movie at Best Buy, they said people were all the sudden buying the movie up, and that they had to order more. I checked on the movie after I watched this video upload on here.
Likewise, the animal imagery was likely done to give the audience a disturbed feeling (since people like to think humans are "superior" to the "beastly" animals) and show that the character was being "mind-raped".
The few instances where the animal image "means" something (like the lion for Churchill) employs symbolism so common and widely-known that it's hardly an "occult" (i.e., hidden) reference. It's really more like a shout-out.

A boring, not well researched and simple opinion. You nor I have a real clue to why the movie is the way it is. We would have to ask those questions to the creators. Regardless the symbols and imagery are there. Many people have different Interpretations about this topic. We are left with speculation.

These are Masonic symbols the same way the Blue Oyster Cult symbol is "occult" - they're NOT. They're just symbols made to look "cool" and "mysterious," and probably vaguely threatening (since they're the symbols of the VILLAIN in the movie). If the movie was linking Masonry to Ming the Merciless, I doubt it was sympathetic to Masonic themes...it was probably more a case of "oh, this looks pointy and dangerous, it'd make a great villain symbol!"
FWIW...I did discover these 'masonic like' symbols etc in the film some years ago...but I didn't think to examine the 'braindrain' scene and what you have discovered in this respect, is both fascinating and revealing.
Obviously during normal playback you would notice very little and be confused by the speed and overlays..but I'm confident that the subconcious mind would pick up on all the content in some form. Slo-mo helps us see.
The most revealing part of the movie is during the opening section whereby Ming unleashes his weather weapons against earth...an introduction to classified weather and climate manipulation as a means of warfare, that has certainly been going on in respect of planet earth...imo.

@SOSnUSA I have the feeling you don't know what the Masonic symbols of Square and Compasses are. The Square is a mathematical tool for measuring a square, a 90 degree angle. The compasses are a device for drawing circles, or measuring distances on a map using a scale. The images you are referring too are similar to the square and compasses, but are not Masonic symbols. I have never seen the Flash Gordon "Masonic" imagery in any lodge I have been to.
They don't seem to be Masonic symbols, although the main symbols of the enemy do look very similar to the square and compases. Such a compariso is the same as saying they look like star trek symbols, there symplistic icons which being symplistic doesn't allow for much diversity. Basic shapes like these could be taken from a number of cultures throughout history.

At 9 secs the woman getting out after Rhianna. You see a reflection in the lower left taxi window. On the official video the low image quality distorts and it looks not quite human. Watch a HD version from someone else and it just looks like a regular guy probably the camera man.
there is an old white guy in the reflection of the cab window on the rhianna video, nothing to creepy, but hidden all the same. Also the checkerboard of the cab represents freemasonry.

The human eye can discern an upwards of 70 frames per second. Projectors from the 80s ran at 24 frames per second, which is what you're seeing in this clip.
I had absolutely no problems making out the images. I saw the monkeys, lizards, etc in full speed. I remember seeing them the first time I ever watched this movie on TV.

Likewise, the animal imagery was likely done to give the audience a disturbed feeling (since people like to think humans are "superior" to the "beastly" animals) and show that the character was being "mind-raped".
The few instances where the animal image "means" something (like the lion for Churchill) employs symbolism so common and widely-known that it's hardly an "occult" (i.e., hidden) reference. It's really more like a shout-out.

These are Masonic symbols the same way the Blue Oyster Cult symbol is "occult" - they're NOT. They're just symbols made to look "cool" and "mysterious," and probably vaguely threatening (since they're the symbols of the VILLAIN in the movie). If the movie was linking Masonry to Ming the Merciless, I doubt it was sympathetic to Masonic themes...it was probably more a case of "oh, this looks pointy and dangerous, it'd make a great villain symbol!"

FWIW...I did discover these 'masonic like' symbols etc in the film some years ago...but I didn't think to examine the 'braindrain' scene and what you have discovered in this respect, is both fascinating and revealing.
Obviously during normal playback you would notice very little and be confused by the speed and overlays..but I'm confident that the subconcious mind would pick up on all the content in some form. Slo-mo helps us see.

The most revealing part of the movie is during the opening section whereby Ming unleashes his weather weapons against earth...an introduction to classified weather and climate manipulation as a means of warfare, that has certainly been going on in respect of planet earth...imo.

@SOSnUSA I have the feeling you don't know what the Masonic symbols of Square and Compasses are. The Square is a mathematical tool for measuring a square, a 90 degree angle. The compasses are a device for drawing circles, or measuring distances on a map using a scale. The images you are referring too are similar to the square and compasses, but are not Masonic symbols. I have never seen the Flash Gordon "Masonic" imagery in any lodge I have been to.

They don't seem to be Masonic symbols, although the main symbols of the enemy do look very similar to the square and compases. Such a compariso is the same as saying they look like star trek symbols, there symplistic icons which being symplistic doesn't allow for much diversity. Basic shapes like these could be taken from a number of cultures throughout history.

I can't follow most of this. I saw this film at the cinema when I was only 7. Now all this tells me is that Zarkov had to flee the Nazis because he's a jew and now he's up against another dictator who regards all Earthlings as inferiors to do with as he pleases. This is emphasised by Klytus when he expresses an admiration for Hitler, "Now HE showed promise!"
PS Ming means "enlightenment" in Chinese and is written with the signs for sun and moon. Is this film showing a Western fear of China!?

At 9 secs the woman getting out after Rhianna. You see a reflection in the lower left taxi window. On the official video the low image quality distorts and it looks not quite human. Watch a HD version from someone else and it just looks like a regular guy probably the camera man.

The human eye can discern an upwards of 70 frames per second. Projectors from the 80s ran at 24 frames per second, which is what you're seeing in this clip.
I had absolutely no problems making out the images. I saw the monkeys, lizards, etc in full speed. I remember seeing them the first time I ever watched this movie on TV.
It's important not to see what you want to see, and I understand that, in this day and age with everything going on, it's very easy to do so.

the part i was speaking of was the 2 hooded figures. They came and went at full speed so fast you couldn't make them out with any clarity. Also the whole reptilian concept was not popular or even really a talking point in 1980. It is important not to see what you want to see, I agree. I can see how the director used the animal images. Each animal, and corresponding person, have a likeness to each other.
Go back without bias paranoid eyes and put yourself in the shoes of the film maker. I can definitely see myself using that monkey picture for albert einstien because the composition, location, size, and overall posture of the two photos align very well.

The microchip images could relate to the NWO agenda of implanting us all with RFID chips? And the image of people in gas masks could be a warning that government may try and gas us as some point as a means of rapid depopulation. Check out the St Birgitta videos. We just recently found this photo less than a year ago, and even after we found it we didn't really go public with it for a while. now that we have I am just as puzzled as you as to why it has not gone mainstream. I even mentioned it to David Icke and he has not made mention of it, though I feel it could be the best evidence ever. From what I understand, the Nazi's were not occultist. Hitler even had all astrology books burned and astrologers either killed or sent to concentration camps. If I'm not mistaken thats how Rudolf Hess was caught because he believed in astrology and went over to the U.K. thinking he could get them to surrender instead he got caught and spent the rest of his life in prison. I'm afraid. The content in the memory wipe is clearly masonic and luciferic in nature, and refers to multiple subjects that have just recently become known mainstream. Not to mention the most overwhelming piece of the clip in my opinion which is the photo of the 2 potential annunaki reptilians at 1:13 which are secluded and enhanced here in the more info section.

Yeah we found that a while back, I checked out most of his previous movies and researched the others. Based on what I found, I think it was only a rumor. The NASA stuff and the way it was edited with hidden images. I think it's odd they only have a rumor and not real information.
Here we are almost 30 years later and nothing.
Plus the movie is drenched with Masonic symbols
Either way it's an interesting subject, Really hard to find anything more about it.
