does anyone know which episode the very brief clip at 0:26 ish is from (the guy with the green hand thing). I remember it as the first doctor who i saw as a child
@toaofanimation, well it's not a case of finding the tapes. The BBC overwrote them with new material, because they wanted to save money. That way they didn't have to buy new material. And unless someone recorded them at home with something (were there tape recorders around? I don't think so :s) they will be lost forever.
Dr Who wasn't the only victim. In that time, hundred of tapes from all over the place were deleted. Everything that didn't seem relevant, I guess.
@CatniponDiscworld yea they r lucky to have found audio clips people recorded and things that werent sent over seas that some studio in singapore had in thier parents attics in film cans and lucky it was old dr.who shows, maybe some more will b found
Hmm. It seems that David Tennant got hugged more than the other doctors. In retrospect, Paul McGann wasn't a bad doctor, I just think that we fans were immediately suspicious of a Dr. Who that didn't come from the BBC.
@barkon well he was pretty crap and the movie was terribly americanised if thats a word, americans just dont get the unique sense of humour british people have
@Flipperlikesdipper i'm american and i totally get it. what i don't get is the american sense of humor. most of it has to do with bodily functions and sex.
This video is just great. Can't wait for a tribute to all 13 when the series ends. It would be awesome if they used this song. This just sums up the awesomeness of the show perfectly.
@Lukedogg13 Yeah but thanks to RTD the doctor probably now has 507 regenerations so the series might carry on until the next century. Then they'll be laughing at our predictions of the future, like we laugh at the predictions of the 60s episodes.
@bob629581 The bit with the Yetis is from The Web of Fear (Sadly only one episode of six still exists). The bit with the Second Doctor running down the street with all the explosions is from The Invasion of which episodes one and four are missing.
@longwaytosunrise93It's part of a brilliant speech when he says goodbye to his granddaughter, Susan, in Dalek Invasion of Earth. He says "One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine." That sums up the show brilliantly.
This is fantastic! You got all the Doctors and it's a great song. Love to Tom, Jon, and Colin. (And all the other Doctors, but they are my favorite.) I like how you show the bad effects when it says 'even though they weren't that good' sometimes. That's a Whovian's memories to a T. Sometimes it was down right awful, but we loved it anyway. Heck, some of the worst effects are some of my fondest memories. (The Robot.)
@Flipperlikesdipper well it would involve delving into the doctors past and finding out who he really is. and you mean 12th. after he hits that 13th body there are no more regenerations. unless they accept that cartmel masterplan and make the doctor The Other. one of the first three time lords and someone who helped develop time travel with omega.
@TheLunarHuntress ...noob clearly. the valeyard is not a future doctor. he is a point between his 12th and 13th bodies. @ultimatedbz2 she says "Hello, Fox Inn", in a mock Scottish accent, in reference to where they are staying in the episode the clip is taken from, ie. Terror of the Zygons
That would be Zoe at the end of part 1 of the Mind Robbers (a Troughton story) as the Tardis falls apart. And yes she wears a sparkly catsuit very well :P ,although she covers up latter... unfortunately.
Ive seen a complete upload of the Mind Robbers here on Youtube, first DW story I ever saw as a kid as a weekend rerun.
i think the moment where rose is sucked to the parralel universe is soo sad,to see the doctor be so happy for her to be back and then have it taken away
@PrimusPrimal1995 8 was in there a few times. 0:06, 0:20, 1:38, his TARDIS interior is briefly seen at 1:58, and you might not have heard of him much because most fans shun the movie. Im one of them.
I have been watching the original series during this last years lull in episodes. Glad to have the doctor back! I haven't finished my supply of the original series, and I hope I never do. 1. Tom Baker (Ironically, my fourth doctor.) 2. David Tennant (my third doctor) 3. Chris Eccleson (My second doctor) 4. William Hartnell (Fifth Doctor) 5. Paul McGann (My first doctor) Jon Pertwee Patrick Troughton Peter Davison Sylvester McCoy Matt Smith Colin Baker To be honest, I've liked them all.
my favourite doctors 1-10 1.david tenneant 2.tom baker 3.william hartnell 4.patrick throughton 5.jon pertwee 6.christropher eccestlon 7.slvyster mccoy 8.peter davsion 9.colin baker 10.paul mcgann(did not get to see him much)
My Doctor always be the Tenth! He was the reason why I started watch DW and fell in love with it. It couldn't happen if I watch the season with Ninth first (oh it is mainly sooo boring! Ermm..this was made 2 years ago. We didn't even know that Ms would be the new Doctor then. There is no face wipe into MS. Sorry. This was recorded directly from the broadcast of Cofidential.
In the Confidential where MS was introduced, they had a very similar sequence—same music, about half of the same scenes at the same points in the song—but which ended with a wipe to MS. Easy to confuse. If you look at both sequences, they're different though.

The Doctors from my favorite to least favorite - 1) Tom Baker 2) Jon Pertwee 3) Peter Davison 4) David Tennant 5) Christopher Eccleston 6) William Hartnell 7) Patrick Troughton 8) Colin Baker 9) Sylvester McCoy 10) Paul McGann - but only because he had only the one outing and we never got a real chance to know him.
1. David Tennant 2. Tom Baker 3. Christopher Eccleston 4. Peter Davidson 5. Sylvester McCoy 6. Paul McGann 7. Colin Baker 8. Jon Pertwee 9. William Hartnell 10. Patrick Troughton I think Matt Smith could do well but he has awfully big shoes to fill, give him a chance though.
1. Tom Baker (HE WAS AWSOME) 2. David Tennant (HE IS ALSO AWSOME) 3. Christopher Eccleston(he is good) 4. Sylvester McCoy (o.k) 5. Patrick Throughton (o.k too) 6.Jon Pertwee (meh) 7. William Hartnell (only saw once crap episode) 8. Peter Davison (SO CHEZEY he acted gay!!!) 9. Colin Baker (he was like wtf) 10. Paul McGann (do i need to say) and i think matt smith will be somwhere near the bottom but lets wait and see
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
1. Tom Baker 2. Christopher Eccleston 3. Peter Davison 4. tie: Jon Pertwee William Harnell Sylvester McCoy Patrick Troughton Paul McGann Colin Baker 10. David Tennant As adorable as David is, I don't think he personifies the doctor well, especially in seasons 3/4, where the writers focus so much on relationships and drama and just breaking the doctor's heart that the show starts losing its sense of fun.
In descending order my favorites in the role: 1. Peter Davison 2. Sylvester McCoy 3. Tom Baker 4. David Tennant 5. Patrick Throughton 6. Colin Baker 7. Christopher Eccleston 8. Jon Pertwee 9. Paul McGann 10. William Hartnell
Eh I must, I must. Although I like them all in the role, but some I prefer more than others. 1- Patrick Troughton 2- Sylvester McCoy 3- Paul McGann 4- David Tennant 5- William Hartnell 6- Colin Baker 7- Peter Davison 8- Christopher Eccleston 9- Tom Baker 10-Jon Pertwee
My faves 1. Christipher Eccleston 2. David Tennat 3. John Pertwee 4. Tom Baker 5. Patrick Troughton 6. Peter Davidson 7. Colin Baker 8. Paul McGann 9. William Hartnell 10. Sylvester MCcoy

Ermm..this was made 2 years ago. We didn't even know that Ms would be the new Doctor then. There is no face wipe into MS. Sorry. This was recorded directly from the broadcast of Cofidential.

Wasnt this in "The Eleventh Doctor"? Pretty sure it was...

In the Confidential where MS was introduced, they had a very similar sequence—same music, about half of the same scenes at the same points in the song—but which ended with a wipe to MS. Easy to confuse. If you look at both sequences, they're different though.

This was edited at 16:9, but either rendered or posted at 4:3; any chance you could rerender and repost it?

Why is it you like Davison so much? I'm curious.
NerdilyDone 2 years ago
Just about everything of his character!

I've never seen his episodes, other than the crossover with ten. I just think his look is awesome, but I don't really know much about him.
