  • DONT BUY THIS ITS A PIECE OF S*IT MINE BROKE AFTER A DAY. SCREW PARROT

  • SKYNET!!

  • i jus want to now weather it as rf controlled wat type of inter face

  • @blackpanther4481 It's Wifi...

  • you can get an outdoor drone similar to this one, but in an airplane version with live video link. You don't need an iPhone to operate it or view the live video feed. Just check out the FlyDroneUNO's site - The AR Drone is very cool though!

  • Way, the actual ar.drone isn't made of plastic, instead of that damm material, that brakes so easlt?

  • Prob gonna get for th holidays

  • So many people are missing the point. The ARDrone was never intended to be the "best quad ever", it is an augmented reality gaming drone. I fly RCs, my fav is my TRex 250 (awesome 3d flight), and the ARDrone wouldn't hold a candle to it's flight power... but it's not meant to!

It's meant to be a stable, easy to use "rc meets video game" platform. And it's that and a whole lot more. AR and VR is the holy grail of video games and they made a AR game / RC heli that even my 5 yr old can fly!

  • I have several "real" RC helis (planes and 8 RC cars) and fly in the summer, this drone is great for indoor garage winter flying and to illustrate the technology. Mine flies totally stable and provides much entertainment for all guests. Too easy to be negative.

  • THIS THING IS A SCAM! forget all the videos you watch, i was scammed to, ordered it and this thing doesn't perform ANYthing like the videos, its a horrible flyer and not stable at all... i got it out of the box and it flew nothing like what these videos show. If you want to throw $300 down the drain then be my guest and but it, i regret buying this piece of crap. It wont even take off the ground straight. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this thing! IT DOESNT FLY.

  • @q8bug u just dont have any experience. in terms, we call this a noob. :)

  • @navigator256 i turned of all wifi on all my equipment (2 iphones, 1 ipad, and my home wireless network), then took the darn thing to my ground level living room which has a brighter floor color. Started the thing and for my surprise it flew kinda ok, it takes off with a slight pitch forward which i have to immediately correct then hovers kinda stable for a few seconds before it starts rolling left. The battery charge gave me something like 10 or 12 takeoffs before it died on me so back to

  • @navigator256 the charger and planning to try again soon. Overall, i am kinda disappointed with the whole drone thing... I am an RC fanatic with over 20 rc gadgets between helis' electrical and gasoline powered cars, and to be honest with you, this thing is down there among the rest of my gadgets. I am seriously considering selling it and getting something better. The reason i bought this thing at the first place was how stable thins thing is, now after trying it hands on, i think its nothing

  • @navigator256 as advertised. I had placed an order for 2 more batteries but decided to cancel it coz its no fun at all. I think am going back to my real rc helis which in my opinion more stable and robust than this $300 joke...

so who is the noob? i have been flying and driving RC gadgets when you were still shitting your pants... People out there need to know the facts about this POS before they get scammed like you my friend... keep flying you idiot.

  • carai, vendo uma parada dessa, ja imagino eu espiando as minas tomando banho de janela aberta, mente poluída do carai kkkkkk

  • Not close to military. This is a toy. Military drones can be miles from the driver this is lucky to get 100 feet from you

  • This goes out to everyone:

This concept was originally developed for troops in urban situations as a portable scout unit which could be really quickly deployed. I'm obviously talking a good 5-10 years back. Now since recon is done more efficiently this concept is considered obsolete.

Since the Military initiated the design of this concept it is military technology, most of you don't know the Fax was Top Secret during the cold war.

  • @Cityj0hn 10 years ago this thing was the draganflyer. the troops along with state and local govt never found a use for it. not its sold as a toy by parrot for 1/4 of its original price.

  • @Duckyistrippin

Yeh like all good things the Army has it first :)

  • @raddpuppy70 But a millitary drone is much more expensive. This thing is only 299 bugs

  • @s005005

but what if the bugs cost $1 each?!?!

  • I wouldn't call it, "Military Technology".

    (Crismoid.).

There are a great deal of differences, between Military Drones, and these ones.

The least obvious being, that the Military Drones are based on Aircraft.

    NOT Helicopters...

The Police use Drones like this, though...

But again, quite a bit different.

But as Toys go, actually £299 is alright...

But how long, before You get bored of it?

How long does this stay in the Air, for?

  • @shadowolf192 Actually not true about the military not using helicopter drones because they do. i would know because my dad job is drones and uavs and when i went to his work i saw one of the helicopters he designed and made. right now they are working on a uav that you would not think is possible... think about animals...

  • @billster7100

    Animals would be nice,

I knew about the moths and other insects

  • @billster7100 just another guy with his dad, mom, brother, uncle, sister in the military

  • Military technology in the hands of the common man for 300 bucks ?!

Cheap at twice the price !

  • I have to say this is possibly the best toy i have ever had, i charge the batterys through my lipo charger so it only takes me 30mins as opposed to 90.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to play the virtual reality games on it?

  • how is that little thing worth 300

  • @yungballer92 well because it has 4 motors on it gyros and batteries that is well worth 100 bucks plus it has a FPS Camera Basically and Wi-fi that it actually pretty cheap for what that all would cost on the Rc market!

  • NOT WORTH 299$.

  • @PBJwithTat dont complain, the price in the uk is £299 which is $475

  • @MuzzaA93 I merely said it is not worth the price. A lot of things in the UK cost more compared to the price in the U.S.

  • They should have an app on the android as well, Or offer win apps also to get more sales.

  • Buy it from Amazon and not Brookstone. Brookstone doesn't take returns.

  • I'm gonna attach a lighter on this.

    >:B

I shall terrorize all my subjects.

    >:D

  • I WANT IT! XD

  • if they finish this they need an android one because i have an LG ally not an iphone

  • Each clip is short because the battery dies after a few seconds.

  • im getting this beast of a machine

  • As some of the comments suggest, although this thing looks like an awesome idea, the pirce tag is too high. If they wanted to appeal to a wider market, they would add a remote control and / or lower the price tag. Some people don't have Apple devices and so they will be immediately uninterested in buying the product. And with a price tag like it has right now, alot of people, iDevices or not, will be drawn away from this awesome idea!

  • @AsbestosInferno shitloads of people have the iphone now, put your nokia 3310 away and get with the crowd

  • @joeandcaitlin01 I have an iPhone. Is there any more I need to say? =)

  • @AsbestosInferno

You create an original concept design, build it, program it, and try to sell it for .99 cents!

  • @profasir =D

  • @AsbestosInferno yh im guna get 1 only when the price drops! i think the whole point in this quadricopter was for it to be controlled by the iphone/ipod

  • will it work with android phones?

  • Is the iPhone included? :3

  • @NiceGuy2639 no lol

  • u can look in the restrooms with that thing

  • where can i buy it?

  • This thing costs 300 dollars...you guys want your wallet toasted be my guest

  • @CaptZor

what? if you're a teenager living in england where the price doesnt seem bad- (approx £170) and have a part time job, without paying tax.. i guess i could get it within a month. :3 my wallet stays unburned ;O

  • c obliger d avoir un iphone pour le controler????

  • @samsou77330 ouaip

  • it may be able to fly and do cool stuff, but can it collect minerals and harvest gas ALL IN THE NAME OF AIUR? (star-craft fans will get the joke...)

  • ah sweet not only am i paying alot of money for a thing i don't need but i have to pay even more for a remote control

  • They are going to make alot of money, this will be good to get close to wild life and go places where its to dangerous ro to. This item can be used for a number of things. What would be nice if you can stream it online as well.

control it with an apad is going to be off the hook

  • @gamena79 I Can FINALLY get that snake from under my bed

  • They are going to make alot of money, this will be good to get close to wild life and go places where its to dangerous ro to. This item can be used for a number of things. What would be nice if you can stream it online as well.

  • There should be a way for the company to trace the owners cause this get to any terrorist hands or murderer. It wont be good. Nice for spying on people. This on the beach would be cool, They probably use this for more coast gaurd saftey

  • i cant wait to get that shit

  • I WANT ONE......NO 2....SHIT 3

  • this cost in germany the new version 299euro but you must have a ipohne or ipad touch

  • Great video, but shouldn't you be looking for the person who stole your desks in the office? lol

  • esto es una mierda mas para sacar la pasta a la peña

  • Want to fly a UAV around a school and do some recce?

    There's an app for that.

  • UAV Recon standing by!

  • A helicopter with 4 propellers that you can control by your iPhone!! What a great toy! i guess my B-day is coming! Friends you dont really need to think about my gift! LOL

  • And the point of it is what exactly?

  • I`ve never seen a Quadrocopter which moves so stable and well. If it is good against wind, too i would buy it.

  • Buy one for $298 here cgi.ebay.com/Parrot-AR-Drone-Quadricopter-iPad-iPhone-iPod-Touch-R-C-/140443056822?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0

    or 3 for $765 here

    cgi.ebay.com/3-X-Parrot-AR-Drone-Quadricopter-iPad-iPhone-iPod-T-R-C-/140443069199?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0

  • THIS STUPID COMPANY LUNCH THE AR.DRONE ON HONG KONG FIRST! I PRE-ORDER ALREADY AND PAY FULL MONEY , AND I HAVE TO WAIT 2 MORE WEEKS!! SCREW YOU PARROT CORP.!!!!

  • @hellidiot65

Yep you need an iPhone, iPad or iPod. I think the iPod needs to be the newest version

  • do you have to have an iphone

  • @Yragtrebor

Yes you can use it outside, in the matter of fact you can use it anywhere you want, because it generates it's own wifi

  • Ive got just the Use for that. !!

  • Not sure i see the purpose of this. A remote comtrol for your flying thingy...seems about as useful as the Lightsaber app. Especially since you cant even go outside with it as the WiFi usually don't reach outdoors (beyond 10' typically)

  • Sorry I meant 100'

  • How much extra weight can it lift? Would be awesome to strap a GoPro to one...

  • its cool but no where near worth £300

  • @hellohello123hello1

probably not too god for the copter, though.

  • @hellohello123hello1

probably not too god for the copter, though.

  • @hellohello123hello1

probably not too god for the copter, though.

  • you add on solar pannels and you got yourself a daytime toy that could last quite a while.

  • I'm waiting for someone to add a cat to the scene.

  • I Want......................

  • makes to much noise

  • O_o awesome :D

  • Now only if this can be controlled over the Internet, it will take remote monitoring of a home or office to the next level. :)

  • @oliver18754

sorta can...it uses wifi, but i'm guessing you mean with a computer or something. yeah, that'd be sweet.

  • i wonder wut happens if u put ur finger in the choppers

  • @HeadShoht the ansewer is in the ques

tion wonder if you put your hand in the CHOPPER

  • @HeadShoht derp derp

  • @HeadShoht you'd get bloody fingers

  • @HeadShoht finger decapitation!!

  • @HeadShoht nothing, cause it blocks in the same time... i tried it first with a drinking straw and than with my fingers... nothing happens without a little slap.

  • @HeadShoht I love people like you. And I love laughing at pain.

  • @HeadShoht I think your finger wont get chopped out because there are 4 blades and the heli isn't very heavy so the blades won't probably go very fast. But I don't recommend trying it to yourself first. Use your little brother or -sister as a test subject first!(that's what I'm gonna do)

  • @HeadShoht well i did on accident. its a very very painful sharp sting that stays in your finger for about 45 minutes

  • 299.00 USD = 241.528 EUR plus import taxes from USA

  • Awesome i can see the gorgeous next door while she is tanning

  • I'm so getting this :D What does it use? Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?

  • @moviesunrated WiFi

  • thats an ipod touch

  • is that real?

  • i like this mann..

  • Reeks like fake.

  • @SvenOkonomi it was at ces 2010 but ten times better

  • @SvenOkonomi

It's actually real dude, awesome, no?

  • wat's the price of that thing?

  • @roykepoep

    $299 this September

  • Oh gott, was für Quatsch

  • I've seen designs like this in old Japanime (Japanese Anime). What's next, cars with wraparound video screens instead of windows? tanks that walk? Hot battle borgs? Exoskeletal mech suits that transform into racing bikes? :P

  • Hot borgs battle!Hot borgs battle!Hot borgs battle!111

  • @AllFractUp Gundams of course! Except they'll release civilian models so we can be like Iron Man but without weapons. Only the government would have the weapons. :) lol

  • Cost?

  • im gonna tie a chain of 100 of those to my ass and see if i can fly

  • @jadenjaden oh god you and gmcannon got the funniest comments.. ROFL im dying here.

  • @jadenjaden lol thumbs up for that

  • Hey, that looks like flying guillotine!!!

  • If this technology is going public, imagine the technology the government has..

  • @YoutoobSam we'll know in o say 10 years

  • yes, with this type of technology, you could take over the world.

Except that this technology actually... isn't impressive. At all.

Its way too noisy to be stealthy, has a lousy video feed, a small flying range, short battery life.

The only good thing about this is the agility and angles it can be in. Which isn't saying much.

They already came out with military drones that are much more efficient and better than these. YEARS AGO.

  • This might not rival military tech but then again it wasn't designed to. To say the first drone to ever utilize the iphone which is also the first drone to merge both the video game scenes and remote flying drone scenes into one unit is not impressive is silly. Especially considering the amount of tech on this puppy, ie: speed and turbulence sensors for outdoor flying, ultrasound altimeter, 3-axis accelerometer, 2-axis gyroscope, and 1-axis yaw precision gyroscope. Its very impressive.

  • Thanks for informing us of that, Captain Buzz Killington.

  • cops already using it .. sik tool

  • How much is it?

  • @netsurfer10000 55 000 dollars

  • @moloteuch444 that is fucking expensive dude.

  • @moloteuch444 I could make a real helicopter for less then that. What a fucking rip off.

  • @moloteuch444 CNET says $500 when it ships.

  • very cool!
